As jerry garcia mentioned the club is on lock down at the moment so random stories will pop up out of the blue. Just a few bits if anyones interested...

The only clubs in for parker are qpr and west ham. Both 3 million pound offers.

Khumalo is on trial at ipswich we are angling for a free transfer they are asking just a loan. Deal setup by our former youth coach bryan klug.

Huge rumours on big kevin macdonald resigning from swindon town and tim sherwood to replace him. I would imagine it would be les ferdinand to replace him as les was the final three interviewees for the job along with kevin mac and ian wright. No big loss as les does not do very much.

I do not understand the rumoursl with clint dempsey he has clearly been told he is going nowhere and to fight for a place in the eleven. Key to unlocking american sponsers aswell.

Benny is off to anyone that will take him. Most fined (disciplined) player behind adebayor last season.

Least there is a little more to chew on there.

Thing is regarding 'lockdown' is it's all very well going all cosa nostra on the Tottenham staff but surely stories would be coming out at the the other end?

That would be my concern as it implies not a lot going on.

My concerns would be allayed by the signing of Benteke however, the one player there is noise around.

Dempsey played as an attacker last year so replacing him with a Bernard type wouldn't be out of the question. I think we need another player that can go past a player. Dempeys main strength is shooting from the 18 yard line and we have others that can do that. He also has a nose for a run and finish but I think Siggy can provide hat off the bench and the shooting but with a bit of extra craft in terms of passing. We need a player that can creat off the dribble like Lennon and Bale!

we've got Townsend so we should use him all Lennon has is speed and some dribbling skills, he's lacked any competition for years.

I did state I was surprised Dempsey would leave. He chips in with his fair share of goals; proven PL goalscorer and as suggested, opens up the US market. I'd keep him.

Hopefully 2/3 more in this window; don't think that's over optimistic.

What's Benny been up to? Any ideas on who AVB would see as his replacement? Someone we've already got or a new signing?

I can see why they would want to keep Dempsey, he's not the greatest player to watch but he has a knack of nicking a goal. Right place, right time of finisher.

I don't get Dempsey's hate. He was never going to be the typical Spurs flair player, but he has come up with goals when needed and works his socks off.

I'll probably get negged for this but Dempsey did a lot more for us last season than Lennon for example but no one would ever mention selling him. I think he's a cracking option to have as he gets in the right place at the right time and he knows how to set a goal up.

Agree, but the key thing your missing here is: Balance.
