My view on spurs is that we are a not just a team in transition but a club in transition, and without meaning to state the obvious I don't just mean the manager, but also the playing squad, stadium, even identity to a certain degree.

I think for the past few seasons even pre AVB we are a playing squad that lacks balance, generally too many midfielders (clones of each other) too many strikers that don't cut the mustard and and injury prone unbalanced defence. This has been the case since the Ledley King era. I believe that we see ourselves as a top 4 club, we are not this but are hammering on the door each and every season. More recently too much reliance on a certain Gareth Bale and this season a working progress. Now I am hugely optimistic in the future for spurs but think that we need to strive for long term excellence, if the structure is to be DoF so be it, but lets make that work for us as at the moment we are maligned by the so called experts for persevering with it. I feel the current team/squad is hugely unbalanced, they are super talented but we lack a direction and have for quite some time. Today was slightly better going forward and the 3 points were massive, lets hope we get an experienced manager in ASAP and use January to make one or two subtle changes. Finally I want to wish AVB all the luck in the world, I think he seems to be the focus of a media witch hunt and desperately wanted him to succeed after how the mob across London treated him.

transition is for wimps.

I agree, 2 winnable home games over Xmas, win them and we're right in the mix!

Everybody going crazy about how well Liverpool are doing, I'm going to put it out there that we will enter 2014 on exactly the same number of points!
