Would have been nice but maybe we're aiming higher. Can't see any other reason to have not given it a go. Also, smaller clubs probably want to sell their players on an open market where they might get a bidding war going. Deals like Keita to Liverpool are very rare and I was astonished when they announced it.

Having watched the Wolves game yesterday, seeing Leander Dendoncker’s dominating display makes me think he would have been a good signing for us. For him to sign for £12m is absolutely fantastic value for a young player with international caps!

Having seen him come in, Mitrovic, as well as N’didi at Leicester, not to mention KDB and Courtois, I think there’s some really good talent there at some very fair prices...which lets be honest, suits Levy fine...

Sander Berge (Genk) - For me, an absolute must for the summer. Beast of a midfielder with dominating physical characteristics, along with great passing, it’s the kind of midfielder that we know Poch likes!

Marvelous Nakamba (Club Brugge) - A slightly older player (24), but from the bits I have seen, which albeit isn’t too much, but his energy levels are incredible, he is a smaller midfielder, but has bite, aggression, and is great at winning the ball back! Great name too!

Giorgi Chakvetadze (Gent) - Interesting player, we have been linked with him before in the past and it seems that he has developed more this year, seems to be a great attacking player, and at 18, I think he would be great for a buy with potential loan back!

Landry Dimata (Anderlecht, Loan from Wolfsburg) - 20 years old, a pacy and strong forward who has 13 goals in 18 games! Really exciting player I think, bags of potential and has a great set of physical traits!

A few examples of players who I think we should be looking at...I think the Pro League (and potentially the Austrian Bundesliga!) is quickly becoming the new Eredivise, in terms of finding quality youngsters without having to break the bank! I think mixing some of these players in with some quality, more established players, would be a really good for the club!

You can catch Pro League stuff on FreeSports from time to time, if you don’t mind the crap picture quality, it’s worth it!!

"Manchester City are eyeing a summer move for home grown pair Ben Chilwell (22) of Leicester and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (21) of Crystal Palace to bolster the left and right-back positions. The two could cost a combined £80m. " Sportsmole reporting this. Never heard of them before so most likely BS - but still, imagine offloading Trippier, Davies & KWP/Aurier for Chilwell and Wan-Bissaka. Would take our starting 11 to the heights of 15/16 season IMO, and probably at a net spend of like 20M. Davies & Trippier together must be worth at least 30m.

Could probably throw Aurier in there too, I can't see this happening but this would be amazing.

For me the two priorities are 2 quick full backs that can attack and defend. Give us some bite back on the wings.

And a young Dembele replacement who can play second fiddle to Sissoko for next season whilst they get used to the Poch way

Any actual first teamers besides Werner? Keeping Trippier, KWP and Davies? So 3 RB’s and 1 LB? Have enough home growns?

For 3 windows, that works out as 3 per window. Nothing out of the ordinary.

If anything, he's rather modest.
Poch said he didn't want anyone in Jan so the idea that we will sign 9 players is bonkers!!

There's at least 5 attacking players there. Where would they all play?? Not to mention the club would never sign off on that.

The maxium I see is 5 and that depends on Eriksen Toby leaving.

I see numerous posts suggesting we should replace a departing player with X,Y or Z. That's all good, but I feel that our real failing would be not strengthening the squad.

Admittedly, we have had a very bad injury crisis, but it didn't take too long to see how limited we were squad wise.

If any of the top talent do leave, for sure let's get replacements, but let's not then dress this up as us being active in the market, we should be looking to strengthen all areas of the squad not just replacement signings.

I would honestly be content with the summer window if that's all that came from it. Obviously, a Dembele replacement would be highly needed but looking at our past windows, selling Trippier, Davies and possibly Aurier while getting Wan-Bissaka & Chilwell in would be so much activity I would probably get a stroke.

I think Ake,Aaron’s,sessegnon, brooks and berge could all be first team players if they were brought in to replace Toby, aurier, rose, eriksen.

In fact all those players on the in list would command first team minutes
