Troy Parrott has claimed it was a "no-brainer" to join Preston North End on a season-long loan deal. After impressing with MK Dons in League One last campaign, the Tottenham striker will now step up to the Championship in 2022/23.

I note he has a new contract. Does that mean PNE pick up the tab on his new salary? I assume so, and that he's now on a "Championship level salary as opposed to a League One from previous season.

In most cases, we pay the players salary but the club loaning our player would pay some sort of loan fee. That can also vary, such as in Lenglet case where we're paying a portion of his salary on-top of a loan fee.
