I think I have mentioned on here before that one of my pals is the son of one of the higher-ups at Doncaster. Anyway, I was just having a chat with him about them signing Billy Sharp and he mentioned off-hand that they will be signing Steven Caulker on loan from us as well.

The jist of what he has said to me is that they are quite close to signing Caulker (he didn't even know who the kid was, I explained to him that he is, for my money, the best prospect of our youngsters). I pushed him on it a little bit but he was pretty open about saying that Harry knows the Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll because of their ties with Bournemouth, and that the deal is close to being done. Didn't give me a time frame but I suppose it isn't really relevant.

I think this would be a good move, he's clearly a talented lad and a relatively small but competent Championship club could be the ideal place for him to continue to learn his trade.

Just for the record, this is not Tottenham ITK as such, it's Doncaster ITK that happens to involve Spurs - so don't expect any more info from me unless it involves them!

I was hoping that Caulker would get a season in the Championship this year, and at a club like Doncaster I hope he'd be first choice as well. Should be a good move for him if it happens.

Great move for the young lad! He was a big success at Yeovil last year so lets keep his progression going! If he does the same next season then look to bleed him into the first team the year after!

He has had brilliant reviews so lets hope he steps up! Im looking forward to him, Parrett (who seems to have come back to form), Townsend & Bostock (hopefully) stepping up!

I've been to Doncaster, Caulker will feel that he's being punished being sent there. What a shit-hole.

At least we may get to see a bit of him on telly this year. Cheers DNB.

They play some nice football so I think this is the kind of team we should be sending our players on loan too as opposed to some lump it cloggers from the lower divs.

Doncaster are a very good side who play football the right way.

Agreed. Being local-ish, I keep half an eye on Donny & Sean O'Driscoll seems a very progressive manager who likes to play a proper passing & movement game on the deck so I'd be happy for any of our promising youngsters to get a bit of game time up here.

Oi that's where I live  it's a great place. Will be very happy if he ends up there on loan will go to a few more matches to see how he gets on.

Just out of interest, can any of the ITKs on the Spurs side confirm this? It would be interesting to know if it's something that the bigwigs at the Lane take an interest in, or whether they just let Harry get on with it considering money isn't really an issue.
