Yeah, that thought has popped into my head recently. I wouldn't put it past Levy to pull something like that out.Wouldn't surprise me!

Man United fan at work keeps sloping round to my desk trying to wind me up that I'm positive about Mourinho. Didn't like it when I said imagine what Mourinho could do with Kane in his team as he is better than Drogba. Also didn't like it when I said we are probably being bank rolled by Jeff Bezos now.
Spurs mocked relentlessly by rival fans for not winning trophies
Spurs hire manager known for winning trophies
Bad decision, he's gonna destroy your team blah blah
This seems to be the narrative at the moment although people are intrigued to see how it will work out but I just know that they're going to pounce the moment it goes tits up.
It's funny I had this convo with two of my mates (Arsenal and Liverpool) in a Whats App group last week and said that we should be going for Jose, they scoffed at the mere suggestion, belittled Spurs saying that he's far too big for you, he wants money and Levy would never give him what he wants, basically I got shot down.
Cue Wednesday morning, backhanded compliments, sly digs etc...
Even now...he only took the job because there was nothing else available
Look it's just the tribalism of being a football supporter.
Find the thread on here about Mourinho's meltdown at United last season and we were all probably pissing ourselves too. Calling him a chequebook manager, calling him finished etc. Especially when the exact same thing happened at Chelsea before so it reinforced the opinions.
It's not a myth. Football doesn't reduce to what rival premier league fans thinksWe’ve had nothing but dogs abuse from rival clubs for years - the admiration lasted a very short honeymoon period in our couple of Poch seasons before we moved to Wembley. Not only do I not give a flying fuck what the rest of the football world thinks of us, it’s a myth that we were liked anyway.
Yeah. We're in the unusual situation of being 3 different clubs' number 1 rival, which can make it seem like we're really hated, but in my experience most neutrals don't really have anything against Spurs and in most surveys I've seen we're the least hated of the so-called 'top 6'. We don't win stuff, aren't bankrolled by oil/gas money, have fairly likeable players (except Alli who everyone hates) and generally play attractive stuff. Aside from our fanbase's delusions of grandeur and some of the actions of our chairman, there isn't too much to dislike if you aren't an antisemiteIt's not a myth. I can assure you we were admired in several parts of the world, by a lot of people
Im not sure being admired carries any real importance tbh. It's not a myth. Football doesn't reduce to what rival premier league fans thinks

It just demonstrates one thing, they're only being honest about him once he's gone.
The fact that most opposition fans are saying that 'Jose will fail/ruin us' makes me happy, because it's not what they actually think. Its bravado.
Make no mistake, they're worried, very worried.
Id be worried if last week Woolwich had sacked Emery and appointed Jose.
Id be very worried.
Indeed everyone keeps bringing up his time at Yanited, but the fact is he should never have taken that job when he did. The infighting at boardroom level was absurd at the time, but I guess it was too big a job to turn down.
I can’t imagine living in a hotel for 2 years helped either.
Why was it he had to do that? The papers have made a big thing about him being able to live in his house in London now, so why couldn't he do that before?I can’t imagine living in a hotel for 2 years helped either.

Probably bedbugs. Why was it he had to do that? The papers have made a big thing about him being able to live in his house in London now, so why couldn't he do that before?
But he's being doing nothing for 10 months?Long commute

I have a theory that every rival fan or pundit who mocks the Jose appointment or makes the usual 'he can't do it without a warchest' comment, are making their observations from a deep rooted basis of fear as to how good we could be under Jose. I reckon if you could have an honest conversation with an Arsenal fan (tricky i know) they would admit to being terrified, just as we probably would have been had Jose rocked up at the library.
