Seriously see what we can get for Sterling now.
Seriously see what we can get for Sterling now.
And are still 22 points off 1st place, having lost as many games as 10th place Arsenal. They are massively underperforming. It doesn't matter which team you support, if the performances and results don't line up with what you believe the team is capable of, you're going to be peeved about it.
It's been happening for years but the amount Fernandinho gets away with in particular is galling.haha yeh. I would say though we deserve it, Sterling should not have been on the pitch and the amount of fouls every time we broke was insane, how they didnt end up with 7-8 men left.
I honestly don’t get how refs let Pep’s team foul and foul and foul.
CarragherOk I'll ask who is spitter.

Own up - which one of you registered on Arsenal Mania as @Tir Na Nog?
Ok I'll ask who is spitter.
Surprised about the reaction from our fans over this tbh, considering we do it all the time.It would be nice if the powers that be introduced an instant yellow card rule for such blatant tactical fouls. City and Liverpool would both concede more goals ( or get more red cards eventually )
I've watched a lot of City, can say they're entitled but their fans are not that far wrong tbh. The team is well off the standards of the last couple of years, stuff like workrate and intensity and it feeds everything - what you do with and without the ball and ultimately results.
Their whole spine of the team has had major disruption also - no Kompany, Fernandinho out of position (he's been alright at CB, no more than that), David Silva was declining at the back end of last season and continued it this, and Aguero's goal tally is still very good but his all round play hasn't been stellar, to my eyes.
Injury hasn't helped either, they gambled going into the season light at centre back and injury bit them immediately. Also think Sane has been a big miss, he isn't the most consistent player but always thought they looked at their best and most dangerous with him left, Sterling right. His holding the width and direct threat in behind opened up the space most effectively in the inside channels for the likes of Silva et al to exploit.
But as a neutral even I can see they're not working as hard as they used to and have lost that bit of hunger, desire, whatever you call it. So no wonder their fans are having a moan. As we have seen ourselves, when complacency starts to set in and for whatever reason players just aren't giving it at full tilt anymore change almost always needs to happen.
I see similiarities between us and them and forget success for a minute but we reach the end of one project and needed to start another - theyre actually in a similiar position to us at the end of last season. They need to refresh that squad totally and sell a few not necessarily because they lack quality but like you say they lack a bit of hunger and that desire. Wehther Pep is there for the start of that new project remains to be seen.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave at the end of the season, people like to talk about Jose's "self life" but Pep isn't much better, 4 years at Barcelona, 3 at Bayern and the end of the season will be 4 years at city.
The difference is, we get booked everytimeSurprised about the reaction from our fans over this tbh, considering we do it all the time.
If their fans can't see and appreciate the quality of their team, then perhaps their Oil Buddies can sell-up and buy themselves a team in Spain instead. Then they'll really have something to bitch and moan about.
I agree but the only reason why I think he wont leave is because he wont want to leave after how Klopp and Liverscum have trounced the league this season. If I were him and if I were to bet on it id expect him to stay because he wont want to have his tenure end knowing that Klopp trounce him this season.
