Arsenal Mania
- Their humbling will just come a week later than expected. I don't think Liverpool will be as generous as we were. Their reality check should begin this weekend
- If I was a Sp**s fan, after seeing what Saka did to Odogie in the first half of the NLD, I'd be worried seeing him lineup against Salah this weekend. :shivering:
- For sure. And Salah actually gets calls unlike poor Saka so if he defends the same way as the first half against us, that's a sending off.
- If things don't shape up I think it will be them laughing at us.
- They are actually playing very well and are topping a lot of the attacking numbers.
I think they start having probs if they start missing one or two of their starting 11 though - we know they're delusional. The spent a solid 3 months dreading us winning the league and twerking for an oil chimera to stop us
- Going forward, it'll be much more difficult for them to court better calibre of players as there are 5 clubs that are bigger than them now (as opposed to only 3 when we last won the title).
And they'll not always be lucky to grab a Madisson (who was criminally overlooked by both United & Chelsea) or a player from a different league who hit the ground running (Son). - Good performance from a lot of their players again, wish they didn't still have Kimchi Messi as he seems to be back to his best.
- They’re not fooling me and while the rest of you gimps get on your knees like chief guzzler himself @GDeep™ I’ll wait patiently.
- Good for Sp**s to keep going in this match, and the luck came in the end as a result of pushing on.
Sp**s should be in competition for a top four spot this season, provided they stay fit - They should be pushing for it. Played United, us and Liverpool picking up 7 out of 9 points. Add in no European football there is a pressure to deliver on their shoulders now. And that's when Sp**s, Sp**s.
- They'd made it a tough slog beating a 9-man liverpool.
They're deluding themselves if they think this would've been the result had it been 22 players on the pitch - Disgusting win, their luck should run out soon
- Sp**s will be found out soon. I don't mind them beating pool.
- We are saying the same things about Sp**s, that they were saying about us last year. Its just bitterness people, cut it out.
Face facts, Sp**s are improved this season, and they stand a good chance of finishing top 4 if they continue to play their game, push hard and stay fit. There's nothing to find out, this is them and their level, being able to compete and win games they couldnt before.
What you can also see, is that there are limitations to their game which can be exploited. They dont have enough in their overall game, to grind out consistent points to win the league, particularly defensive organisation. They wont win the league, not with City, Arsenal and Liverpool competing in the league as well. - I was actually impressed by Sp**s until today. I always said that they are good as long as they have their starting 11, but I was a bit thrown off by how exasperated Ange looked with Liverpool packing out the middle and not having an answer for it. With a 2 man advantage and tons of minutes.
Had Arteta done that I'd be writing dissertations, but I think he and his small band of coaches are a bit too astute to be stumped in that scenario for that long. - Having guys like Solomon and Johnson as some your key players, that will put a cap on the level their team can reach. Maybe top 4 or top 5. Nothing more.
I think their fan base (except the deluded ones) will accept that in perpetuity as long as they play good football - I will never understand the hold they have on PGMOL. With Fergie and United, I understood it as disgusting as it is, particularly with 90% of them being Mancunian but to give preferential treatment to this nothing meme club is just mind boggling
- There is something to find out as they have a very thin squad that has been healthier than many others. They were eliminated from the league cup before the big teams even entered. They have 3 impactful players who are carrying them and just one missing probably sees them totally collapse. They are very fortunate they have no European football to stretch them or they may already be in deep trouble. This is shades of how you overestimated 7 Hag last season and coming into this season and he's let you down. Ange will too

I feel like there is a bit of the ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’ thing happening with the Manchester reffing cabal. Also I think they have a bit of a hard-luck underdog thing happening that gets them sympathy.
- Don’t see any comparison between Sp**s and us from last season, they’ve got results but don’t look at all convincing doing it. Made it look difficult against 9 men, at times pool were cutting through them. We handed them a draw last week, looked crap against Sheffield United and could have easy lost to United.
They’re one injury to Maddison or Son away from disaster - if either is out for an extended period their season is done. - They are so giddy at the moment. Will be hilarious when the inevitable comedown hits
-
Imagine Tottenham actually wins the premier league
- Has any other of the top teams played all three promoted teams yet this season, don't think we have played any yet?
Can wait for the inevitable Sp**s drop off this season, gonna hit so good...no team builds hope and crushes it better than this lot - I thought Sp**s may have had something but after Liverpool it seems to be mostly new manager bounce.
I think Richarlison on the left and Son through the middle prints money in the short term though, a bit hilarious it took Postecoglou that long to figure it out.
Son is getting on a bit but still has his deadly finishing and Richarlison was mostly on the left for Watford and Everton, he's at home there and you have to ignore his WC exploits.
