So much dismissal lol.

I find it amusing that so many of other club's fans rate our players individually and wish they had them - just this week loads of praise for Vic, Udogie, VDV, Porro, Maddison, Son etc, but when they talk about the team that contains these players all of a sudden we're 'lucky', 'dull', 'uninspiring', and basically one half-bad result away from completely falling apart and finishing 12th.

I think they're all secretly in love with us.

We haven't played anyone, yet we have played the teams who have a lot more shots.

Boils my piss a bit to read any LFC fan moaning about diving when they've had that little **** Salah ripping the piss out of it for years.

You have to be incredibly fragile to make up reasons why a football team is doing better than yours. So you don't like us and we're currently doing well , big deal. Get over yourselves you sad little pussies. All this talk of it's just luck, the refs were corrupt, easy start to the season (apart from our team but then "enter excuse for that one"). I like coming in and laughing at the comments but my lord I would just walk away from any one of them who say this sort of shit. There's no way you could have a genuine conversation with some of these morons. It's just a sport we follow as a hobby yet they can't handle when things don't go their way. Everything has a reason for being the way it is. Like you couldn't make up reasons for any other team or see every bit of luck as an excuse for any other club.

Villa Talk
  • Hopefully Palace can burst their bubble but not holding out much hope with Roy's approach
  • Spurs seem to have had the easiest run of fixtures ever, even when they got a difficult game like Liverpool they got luck from VAR error
  • F**k, Bentancur back on the bench. He's going to be ideal for how they play under Postacoglu. Was hoping he wouldn't re-emerge in the run up to our game
  • They have played Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal already. So seems to be an average mix of games so far?
  • Arsenal and Liverpool have yet to play any of the promoted teams home and away. Both will surely be above Spurs once that balances itself out.
  • Jammy bastards
  • Spurs now 7 points ahead of us
  • all credit to Spurs post Kane it's a remarkable first quarter of the season for them.
  • Got a horrible feeling that Liverpool 'goal' is going to be crucial.
  • Spurs have done incredible. Unbeaten after 10 games. 7 points above Villa.
  • You cannot say anything other than well done. 10 games in and unbeaten . 8 wins.
If we are judging ourselves as contenders for champs league then they seem to be one of the 5 we will have to finish in front of. And if we are judging ourselves on our form being the best we can remember in recent times then theirs is even better.
Luck has got nothing to do with it . Even if Liverpool had beaten Spurs they would be 4 points ahead of us .
Spurs are the real deal. And do not forget Ange is unbeaten in the league at home since he came to Celtic .
  • they've recruited well.
The Dutch CB, Udogie, Vicario and Maddison all look good signings and improvements on what they had previously
  • Spurs are less unlikeable now. Amazing what a nice guy as manager can do to perceptions.
  • Romero seems less rash aswell. Was constantly diving in last season and getting booked, now playing much calmer and gelled very well with Van Der Hoom.
I said pretty consistently last few months of last season Spurs were in a bit of denial with Kane and needed to cut the umbilical cord with him. No way would Maddison have made the impact he's had so far if Kane was still there dropping deep and picking up the ball in central positions so that has worked out well in terms of timing.
  • Talksport will be full of it tonight, running with the headline is this tottenhams year?
  • I really liked Ange at Celtic. Would have been a great shout here had we not been able to bring in Unai.
He is a good manager and has no doubt improved them, but for the media to start suggesting they are title challengers is utter drivel
  • They will probably do what Spurs do and bottle it.
Even my Spurs supporting mate said that they are the only team that could be 4 points clear going into the last game of the season and yet they would still find a way to finish 2nd
  • Spuds aren't responsible for who they play - they are only responsible for winning.

They've done a great job seeing as they lost their biggest player in the build up to the season (compare that with how we did when Jack left).
And while it's fair to argue about luck and weak opponents - winning breeds confidence and they have a very good manager. It would seem more likely to continue than not.

Loking forward to our game against them
  • Good luck to Spurs. All we have to do is take care of own results and not bother about other teams. Who is ahead at this stage doesn't matter. When we go there next month we are going to need to produce a really good performance.

A lot of very fair comments there.

I'm glad our game against them next month is at home. Hopefully by the time we go to Villa Park they've had a couple of draws/defeats, really wouldn't fancy going there with their recent home form.

    .

‘The Dutch CB’ has 10 letters. ‘van der Ven’ has 9. Learn his name motherfucker, it’ll save you time in the long run. Type his name 100 times, save 100 letters. You’re welcome.

Also, ‘Van Der Hoom’ genuinely made me lol. I’m trying to figure out if it’s an inside joke but I’ve come to the conclusion that it isn’t and the poster is a donkey.

Fulham's highlights of our game vs them came up on my YouTube feed the other day so popped it on.
Their commentator spent the whole time calling him Van Der Van...how can you be a commentator and get such a simple name wrong?

It really doesn't matter how we do in the next 6 games. Opposition fans will still find something negative to try and taunt us with. They will make it up as they go along with anything that makes them feel better at the time. Logic and truthfulness will have no say in it.

For example, some are now calling us time wasters because we passed the ball around our defence at Palace. It makes no sense of course because the ball was in play. We were tactically using up time but Palace were the ones wasting it while they refused to try and take it off is.

No team has wasted less time than us this season, truth be told.

Some fans of other teams should consider that Spurs are a team with a history of turning up against the 'big teams' only to drop points against teams we should beat. I'm more than happy to buck that trend and take points off the relegation fodder.

I don’t get this easy fixture narrative. If the fixture computer drawn up the first 10 games against the 10 ‘bottom’ teams and you came away with 8 wins and 2 draws it would still be very impressive.
