I don't think I've ever really recovered from the FA cup game against Man City where we lost after being 3-0 up and with them having had a player sent off in the first half.

I remember watching it on teletext and feeling the crushing sense of inevitability set in as City turned it around in the second half. And that sense that, with Spurs, no sooner do you realise that the unthinkably disastrous is a possibility, than it turns into a hopeless inevitability has never left me and has proved right again and again over the years.
it was even worse being there. And sitting next to the away fan.

I smashed my sky remote into a wall watching that City match.
It's all the worse that they've generally been our bitches for most of the premier league era.

Neither were Spurs players during that game. Thatcher played for Man City and Pedro was playing his trade at Pompey.

When Gregor Rasiak came on the pitch. I don't think I've ever seen a player so out of his depths. It was terrible, he was terrible. It was probably one of the worst as at the time, I thought is this our best effort!?

Definitely the 3-4 versus Man City for me. I remember being so angry that I could barely speak.

Thank god ive chilled over the years as getting that worked up about something that has nothing to do with you or that is completely out of your control is really not good for your health. Still, seeing Paulinho in a Spurs shirt almost brought back the anger! I hated that guy with a passion.

Popescu dangling his foot at an everton player flying into a tackle in a 4-1 loss in the semi final at Elland Road. He later went on to captain Barcelona.

If you'd asked me on Thursday night I would have said everything kyle walker did in the game. Particularly that touch that went out for a thrown in. Have calmed down a bit since then so will go with Jols sacking. That was on the pitch / during a game.

Tim Sherwood on the touchline.

Kaboul own goal in the first minute away at Liverpool, pretty much deliberately passed it into the empty net instead of clearing it.

so I got the gist of the thread wrong, and two of my main points. apart from that does everyone agree. They were annoying?
