Why aren't we doing it then? Wembley should be just reserved for the final, that's what used to make it so special.
The reason why we dont use wembley just for the FA cup final, is because of financial reasons, the building cost went over budget and this was one way to get back that cost

Welmbley for finals, semi - whoever the 1st drawn team is plays at home. This is the only tarded cup in the world where a semi is played at another venue.

Meanwhile three years ago the then FA Chairman said about Wembley........

"The FA took a commitment when they built the place that the semi-finals would be here. So that is where it is at the moment unless the contractual situation changes. I can't see that happening."

So we have to suck it up.
1 in America, the other in Dubai. Sorted

This is how I see it.

For the time being, the FA have agreed to play at Wembley, to help pay for the extended building costs.

But over time, I expect them to sell the semis (and possibly even final) to the highest bidder - much like the NFL playing games at our new ground.

Interesting* I could see them doing that with say the quarter finals (instead of the 39th game abroad)

*by interesting I don't mean good.

All our fault isn't it when we out the idea in their head when we played the 1991 semi at the old Wembley v Arse?

I'd prefer a neutral venue tbh. Plenty about with enough capacity that is fairly equi-distant between the 2 clubs involved.

Old Trafford, Etihad, Villa Park, Emirates, New WHL. Depending on geography of semi-finalists

Emirates. Don't agree with semi's being played at Wembley as it takes something away from the actual final day. Seeing it's a London derby the game should be played at the largest neutral London ground which in this case is the Emirates.

City - Arsenal should be at Villa Park.

Agree with Emirates for our game, but Villa Park is simply too small for City-Arsenal - it'd mean only a fraction of each teams season ticket holders could attend. Since City were drawn as the "home" team I'd play it at Old Trafford.

Stratford stadium - they've had no football there since it started housing wet spam; plus, as taxpayers we've already contributed to it...
I agree that Wembley should be for final only; and players should be out in their suits walking round the pitch hours before the final. Feel we need to make the FA cup great again.. chasing top 4 and champions league last 16 etc is squeezing the life out of top tier football.. so sad that money dictates value of 1st place - silverware/cup winners are the true winners ...:)

The scenario where we had Spurs and Arsenal fans all traipsing up the road to Manchester for a semi final was just ridiculous but now there's the West Ham stadium so that opens it up a little. The problem is, people were complaining about lhow many people could get to see the game when they were being held at Villa Park etc etc, personally I thought that was tough shit, nobody complained about that in the early rounds, the thing worked perfectly for like, ever, until money became a serious factor. But I think now the TV money has grown to such a level that it shouldn't be an issue any more. I'd just go back to neutral venues

No way would the emirates be realistic.

I'm sure the loyal gooners would love us or Chelsea in the twelve pins...
