If and when Chelsea win the title it will be deserved. As good as we've been, we've simply had too many draws. At least we're actually making them work for it.

Our fantastic run might not be enough for the title, but it's still been of huge importance. It's pulled us away from the chasing pack instead of being caught up in a dogfight for CL places. Liverpool, United, City, and Arsenal are all desperate to get into the CL, and our incredible form has left them all in our wake.

*edit - not sure why I put Liverpool twice. Must be because they're twice as desperate as the rest.

I keep wondering what would have happened if only we'd closed down Pedro properly at Stamford Bridge. If we'd held onto our lead there and all other results stayed the same, we'd now be top.
Yep. Game that got away that one. But it helped us learn for the return game at WHL.

Amazing run and a massive a achievement. My early spurs memories are from the 90's so to see a team so competitive and not 'spursy' anymore is incredible.

Chelsea if they do win it deserve to win it, no it's or buts, but to see our club competing and being a lot more competitive than clubs with a lot more money is fantastic.

I like those stats. In a direct comparison with the Chavs, how many games have we played since the start of the season and how many have the Chavs played?

Good post. City, Utd and Chelsea all have experience of being league champions (Utd less so in the last 3-4 years), they're clubs structured around this concept and their spending power has helped significantly. We're just arriving at the table, without the spending power of the other three and its important we don't start expecting a league trophy just yet. We have, once again, confounded the expectations of just about everyone with our brilliant season but we also need to recognise that while we have all the ingredients to be a very successful club, we still have experience to gain, talent to nurture and space (literally and technically) to grow into a serious title contending squad. I love this ride but it's going to be painfully difficult if people start demanding trophies immediately.

Sad thing is, I just can't see us replicating this next season at Wembley or our first season at the new lane. Incredible achievement this year, such a shame that we end up getting pipped to the post by Chelsea.

Just enjoy the here and now rather than fretting. I think we will strengthen further and continue to improve our game. I don't feel like we are getting pipped at the post, just never quite close enough (up to now anyway). Let's just see how it plays out. One things for sure, if we are ever to win the league, it will be a last minute surprise. We couldn't handle looking over our shoulder for weeks on end.

This team just has to start winning trophies soon surely.

The OP mentions those who were unfortunate to witness the days of old with the likes of Gross and Francis as manager. I am one of those guys. However above all else it just makes me happy to finally witness what some of our more experienced fans witnessed before the 90s.

Unfortunately there are people that don't know how great Tottenham were. The giant has finally awoken.

Exactly. Turn 4 of our 8 draws into 2 wins and 2 losses and we'd be 4 points clear (I think).

Ummm, maths not your strong point I take it.

If we'd won 2 and lost 2 of the 8 draws we'd be 2 points better off, leaving us 2 behind Chelsea, not sure how you got 4 points clear!

That went well.

Yep end of a 5 hour train journey. Bit tired.

Same here. Started supporting Spurs in 1990, so apart from the FA Cup in '91 it's mostly been pretty miserable since then.

Just hope we can keep our manager and team together for when the new stadium is ready.
