This is not a thread about him as a player as there is/are lots out there. More like a thread about him as a person.

I just saw this on youtube and it made me smile, its him and keano dancing which im sure lots of you have seen before. He was actually quite affable to be fair, i wont miss his skills but what a fun guy, it makes me wonder what he actually thought of Tottenham.

anyway delete if necessary mods.

i'm a critic of him as a player, but he seemed to give a damn. there's also the pen shootout where he has his back to proceedings and just reacts to reactions

Fortunate enough to interview him a few times when he was a Spurs player.

He was absolutely loved at Spurs by everyone at the club. His interaction with those who worked backstage at the club was always fun-filled and he seemed to love it here.

Was a top, top bloke.

Would have liked to keep him as a squad player but don't fault him for wanting more playing time, as he just wasn't as good as Wilson or JJ/Hudd.

Really wish he would have scored and got that monkey off his back but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Wish him nothing but the best. Good luck Zokora.

I really liked his personalty and the way he seem to behave on the pitch, but, he was one of the reasons why we were so poor defensively. He was suppose to be a world class defensive midfielder but he was average at best imho.

Ridiculous comments about his ability. He was very good for us. The fact he isn't Wilson Palacios in style or aggression seems to be enough for some to criticise a player who was more 'Tottenham' than almost anyone on this board.

Anyway, lovely chap and nice to see some positives alongside the durr-brained insults.

Is he playing for Sevilla? if so how well has he been doing? I suspect his style of play may be more suited to la liga

Puff-Didi was like a steam train when he went charging forward but, whilst i can admit he might not have been the most technically gifted players, he always gave it 100% and never let his head drop. Even when he was subbed in the first half against Villa, when he was dropped in at RB and Young was tearing him apart, he didn't complain, he knew why he was coming off and accepted it gracefully.

A model pro, sad to see him go.

Great character for sure. And a very useful squad player aswell. Its important to have characters like that at the club. I think Malbranque is another player who everyone seemed to like at the club, although a different type of character. But Palacios and the Croation lads for example will be popular aswell because they're good professionals. So while we've lost the character of Zokora, we still have some great characters at the club. Gomes is another one.

He was most certainly loved by a lot of people, especially the other players. I remember seeing a video of them training during Ramos time, and he scored, and everyone was cheering. Only wish we could have seen him score once at the Lane.

was a ledge for us and its a big shame that more people dont recognise this.
players with his sort of attitude are rare the german mullet was probably the only other player in recent times who cared as much for the club as zokopops did.
already been mentioned but will never forget the pictures of him with his back to berbs penalty and the sheer delight in his face when he knew we scored!

But looking at it from a footballing view, would you rather have an average at best player with a bubbly personality, or a player who seems like a complete utter **** but is world class?

I wouldn't call him a ledge. He was simply a cult hero. A bit like Freund. Clearly not good enough to be considered a ledge.

teams are built around players of that description just as much as their built around the star players!
seems a waste to spend money on a postcard so thought i'd just write it there instead

Winning teams, successful ones the manYoo's and Chelsea's of the world are built with world class players and not world class personalities.:)
