I loved him and I miss him.

He was never dull to watch, sometimes terrifying, sometimes breath-taking, always had something about him which made me smile about his performance when the fat lady had sung at the end of each game.

Those criticising his passing, sure he could make awful passes, but he also played some pin-point 40+yd cross field balls spreading the play to our wings, and his surges, although often without end product did a lot to relieve the pressure on our defence, often at times when it was badly needed because we couldn't escape our back third.

Great guy, great footballer, played the game the right way and is a credit to any club he graces.

Thank you Didier

Yeah seemed like a good bloke, enthusiastic, enjoyed playing, seemed to genuinely care about the club.

I think people can go overboard at times though...their are plenty of players with the same qualities as Didier but for some reason Zoko seems to get singled out for praise on this front more than others.

Perhaps it was his shortcomings as a player that mean people focus more on this aspect of his game.....like I said I do agree he had a good personality, Im just a bit sick of hearing about it at this stage...after all his job was a footballer not an entertainer.

one might argue that they are the same industry

Great guy

The ability of a bottom 6 central midfielder in the Prem

Very glad to never have to watch him playing in CM for us ever again

i wish the guy well, likeable chap, but some of these comments are a bit much! "ledge"??
he didn't have much of a footballing brain. and someone above has said he was unfairly treated by the fans!!! i always thought he was inplausibly popular given what he offered - few shots and assists, lots of dangerous free kicks conceded

he still cant shoot. he puts one into the top row of the stand from about 40 yards out. maybe dani alves needs to teach him how to shoot from 40 yards.

sevilla look a good team. the beast Negredo played up front with Kanoute

that'll be their Champions League match. Zokora.

Champions League.

It's kinda funny really

(cue the bleating on about the Spanish League not being as good as the Prem, him not making a contribution to their being there, etc. The point is, someone important sees him as "good enough", wonder why so many of our fans didn't  )

Because he wasn't. Great lad around the dressing room and a player we could stll use in our squad but the difference in the team since he was replaced by Palacios tells the story.
