By the way, in regard to any 'smokescreens' (if they exist) I could see how it could benefit both teams tbh, AC want to rise his price from schalke with our interest, we want to lower fabiano's price with our interest in huntelaar. However I do think there is/was a genuine interest in him.

Anyone who doesn't think we will be bringing players in before Tuesday, can I just point you in the direction of a few things? There has been no team photo taken yet, the player profile page on the website has not been updated from last season, and their has been no media photo session yet for Sandro and Gallas.
Its quite obvious that Levy and Eales having been counting on late movement for some time, so have put all that admin stuff back til the window closes.

a smokescreen is just the name given to, hiding the real "agenda" So pretty much anything H says is smokescreen :wink:
And Agents would be happy to play along, the more clubs are named the stronger the agents position will feel. That said, I am sure we have at least made esquires, how far they went, or are going...i don't know...its to smokey in here to see the wood from the pvc

Really don't want Young - a one season wonder if ever I saw one. Overpriced and fundamentally a turd who no one will ever be able to polish.
Liverpool will have pulled off a real coup with Meireles. A better player than Diarra IMO (though I do really rate Diarra too).

i don't see the point in Young, he would be a good addition to the squad, but probably wouldn't be a first team player. Plus the amount he'd cost, we'd be able to get a much better foreign player for the money.

I don't think there's any chance they'll let him go after the guarantees they've given their fans and now they've lost out on McGeady as a replacement.
£20m odd for shit Lennon back-up isn't at all appealing for us either.
Like Parker, I fully expect an imminent announcement that he's signed a new contract.
