He's the man for the job.

My only gripe with him is his fascination with Crouch/Defoe.

Get behind him (oooh matron).

harry redknapp whilst a good manager has simply taken this club as far as he can.

when he has a fully fit squad to choose from he is fine, hes 442, the team(a bloody good one when all fit) picks its self....

but when they arent all fit (& thats another thing, our injury?fitness record for pulls & cramp are a disgrace under his management), when he needs to earn his corn in a tactical manner he fails consistantly.....

from last night

instance 1: weve worked all week on a 4411 formation with a midfield 4 of (from the left) bale, modric, sandro, lennon....our best players, this picks itself....each player has a player to mark on set pieces etc....

lennon pulls out at last minute, now from a very early age at any level of football everyone knows you just choose horses for courses...change like for like as much as you can....limit the damage on tactical planning

we had worked all week with that midfield so why didnt he just say to JJ, your wide right, u pick up lennons man...same formation, same tactics, same marking??????....he messed up a whole weeks work 1 minute before a game ffs!!!!, put the best left winger in the world (imo) on the right, our best midfielder (at keeping us posession) on the left & destroyed our planning just for JJ....sheer madness

instance 2: we have 10 men & our prized & best outlet is the pace of bale on the counter, so why take off the only player on the park who in a tight quick thinking needed spot could play him the perfect ball from 50, 60 yards in VDV???????....SHIFT HIM RIGHT ALA BLACKBURN HARRY FFS....marcelo was bombing on all day anyway & the ball would have got to VDV on plenty of occasion in the second half on the right...

instance 3: bring on defoe to hold up the ball on his own isntead of pav.....BEYOND STUPID

instance 4: corluka gets injured & bassong comes on, bennys been our best player & gallas has played right back at least 5 times this season so obviously he will go right, bassong & dawson will play centre & benny will stay left because hes mustard there.....OH NO....we will shift benny right (WTF) & stick bassong left back!!...perfect, 4th goal, bennys out of position on right (not a right back), ball get splayed to ronaldo & bassong doesnt anticipate it or close him down quick enough (not a left back)...

Harry is tactically not good enough, thanks but goodbye fella....

oh & he has bought basically all our old players back also....didnt think suarez was worth the money (better than ANYTHING we have up front)...constantly says we were rubbish before he took over, forgetting we finished 5th twice on the bounce & won a trophy in the 3 years prior to him taking over a squad that consisted of at least 95% of the players we still have!

he is a good manager, but not good enough for spurs (my opinion)

Can't argue with any of this tbf

Don't want Harry to go but am becoming increasingly worried about some of the decisions that are made regarding team setup.

Don't worry about those ignorant buffoons. They don't like to address the truth. fucking posers

I've heard of talking out your arse, but typing out your arse must be a new thing. Oh wait a minute... No, it's not.

Harry out? And you expect people to just fall into your beliefs, just because you've pointed out the mistakes he's made?

I think we need to gain a bit of perspective here. Running before we can fucking walk. Same thing happened a few years back, when we channeled all this pressure onto Jol, leading him to capitulating as a Head Coach, and Spurs replacing him with a top rated idiot.

Who exactly do you want managing us? Moyes? Coyle? Oh wait no, we're big enough now to attract Jose aren't we? No we're fucking not. We haven't won the League since 1961, it's not like we're Barcelona. A defeat, a poor run of form, is that really all it takes for a man who's guided us into our first EVER Champions League campaign, and made us the toast of Europe on more than one occassion, to be decapitated?

Problem is we know Harry is out of here sooner rather than later. If we can get a top manager like Mourinho in summer we would simply have to do it.

I wouldn't mind Coyle either, I think given the chance he'll become a truly excellent manager, just about has all the necessary attributes imo. Not sure I would get rid of Harry just to bring Coyle in though, hopefully when Harry leaves for England Coyle will be able to come to us if Mourinho doesn't want to.

Harry does not seem focused on Spurs any more

Maybe he is just picking up his salary and going through the motions till Capello goes, maybe he is distracted by the fact he may be managing a prison team in 6 months, maybe it is a combination of the 2 but the Harry we have now is not the Harry we had from when he took over to new year.

He has lost the dressing room with a number of our players, our tactics/line ups/formations have been bizarre recently, our striking coaches don't seem to be able to motivate our strikers, we can't beat the small teams, Harry could not make his mind up in the transfer market thus losing us key signings.

I am very happy indeed with Harry's work up to the start of 2011 plus the Milan game but something has gone badly wrong and he doesn't seem to know how to put it right so it is right to ask whether he has taken us as far as he can.

Shocking thread. Awful timing and very disrespectful in terms of what he's done for us.

Ask Charlton fans whether they regret saying similar things about Alan Curbishley just before he left. Be careful what you wish for....

No one has to fall into my beliefs. They can follow the facts.
3 points in 4 games against shit opposition.

Playing Defoe the day after his Grandpapa passed away.

Waiting it out for Lennon till 5 minutes before kick off.

Playing 2 of best players out of position to accommodate a shit player in his favoured.

Fucking around in the January transfer window ( Adams ) when it's clear as plain day that we needed a striker because old sagpuss couldn't make his mind up.

Not playing top striker for a player who has scored 2 goals in 1 year.

Having players on the pitch when they have niggling injuries in the league when we have other players on the bench eager to get minutes. but no not harry he sticks by his favourites even if it gets them injured in the process because of no efficient recovery time. At the same time causing disharmony in the dressing room.

As for manager we can attract I'd go with Coyle I don't see why it's such a ludicrous idea to suggest him as our next manager. Or maybe Capello or Sven.

That says it all about your footballing views. You'd rather employ a man who would rather be out on the pull with Lennon that on the training field with him. I think that's about it from me in this thread, trying to reason with retards.

Well whatever you think about Svens personal life does'nt hold up.

He is has been the most successful England manager in the last 20 years. Fact

Club managerial honours

While Harrys trying to big up his CV. Svenniss has already been there and done that. no pun intended.

I have no real problem with Harry, his done well.

when he leaves for england though i would like a real footballing coach, what i mean by that is one who teaches the team to play in a specific way. too many times this season do we seem a bit clueless when under pressure, hoofing balls to nowhere, not playing possession football.
and even when we do attack, we seem a bit one dimensional, looking for our wingers 99% of the time to cross one in, partly the reason why are strikers seem so poor IMO.

it all kind of started when bale moved to left wing, (not the arrival of vdv) giving us two flying wingers and forcing modric into the middle, that's when defoes goals really dried up during christmas 2009, although he has never been prolific. and also when generally we stopped beating teams by a large amount, scoring freely in the league. Pav came in a did well and scored a few goals as he had lots to prove, and bale was in the form of his life so i think that kind of pushed us through the finish line last season

I think the formation needs some real tweaking in the summer to get the bale, lennon, vdv, modric and 2 good solid holding players in the team , although a specialised forward could just be the simple solution to get us playing fluidly again, we'll see what happens in the summer

or man city and chelsea will lose and we beat wigan 8-1 and all will be forgiven again

It's hard to disagree with this TBH. And responding to all criticism of Harry by calling it "knee-jerk" is a little knee-jerk in itself, quite frankly.

Harry has done very well for us but is he actually going to take us to the next level? On current evidence one would have to say no.

Have some of you forgotten where we were since Harry joined - 2 points from 8 games and bottom of the table!

Whilst this is somewhat of a quote that is often ridiculed from repetittion, the facts speak for themselves - we were a club in disarray with a very realistic chance of actually getting relelgated that very season. Not only did we turn it around and stay up, but within two years we managed to finish in the top 4 for the first time since the inception of the Premier League and consequently our first ever voyage into the Champions League - the holy grail of club cup football!

What Harry has acheived should not be sneered at, nor treated that we had the ingredients to start with and that he got 'lucky', we got to where we are now BECAUSE of Redknapp, not in spite of him.

Obviously the situation regarding England is something that has to be resolved one way or the other and if he decides to go then best of luck to him but to suggest we should 'get rid' of him because we failed to beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu down to 10 men for 75mins then some of you really need to get a grip on reality.

If (and I hope) Harry does commit and stay at the club then he should receive our full backing and I believe that our future is still very much bright with him at the helm.

 I too can not argue with the points you raised there, he don't half make some baffling choices sometimes.

looking forward to seeing our reaction against stoke. should we lose or draw that game then well....it may a dark end to the season

In my opinion the thing we need to take us to the 'next level' is cash, and lots and lots of it not a new manager.

I fear that when Harry goes we'll enter another period of instability that will do great harm to this club. The grass often is not greener.
