Lopez said this in January " i would have loved to have played for chelsea in london but im not sure i would have settled in well and as my lyon team is improving its going places and i decided i wanted to stay at lyon"
Lyon are understood to be in contract negotiations over a new contract that will keep lopez at lyon for another 2 seasons.

So I think the ITK on that is a non started he won't leave Lyon for us!

If Pedroza isn't a hoax (which I'm not convinced about), then he'll surely be off the Championship or League 1 for a year or two. The guy isn't even a regular starter for his Mexican side and hasn't even made the national side U21s (and yet Gio is the star of their full side).

He's not a hoax. Levy speculating on his own again.

if defoe is having a medical for either newcastle or sundland one of our MANY esteemed ITK's would have said something by now

fickle fans - from jermain defoe he is a yiddo ringing around whl to now people willing to drive him to the north east!
Not saying i am against upgrading him but crazy how fickle fans are..
leandro/pedroza/lopez are not the type of signings to show ambition

we need a rossi/benzema/adebayor if at all possible

i just cant see him ever going that far north...ever!

he is a big family man & loves london...he used to commute to portsmouth when he played for them..

he cant commute to the north east!

How about if we've always thought Defoe was shit and all he has to his game is to shift it sideways and blast it? Does that stop us being fickle? ;-)

btw quite interesting that we are actively trying to move out unwanted players to bring in quality...theres nothing wrong with that some would say...but

if the defoe rumours are true (which i doubt personally) then surely that is a huge risk if we dont have a better striker lined up?

i mean if we let him go & fail as we did in january to bring in say rossi...then we have a whole berba/frazier scenario again dont we?

Just getting flashbacks of a few months back and all these keane vs defoe threads, where JD always seemed to win the popularity contest.
Don't want to start these all over again, wrong place, but i was always more of a keane man

Not latest itk as such. But the last time leandro was mentioned to me, it was as good as done. We'll see

x2. Never rated him.

Tbh, I reckon if you played Kaboul upfront he'd score a lot more than 4 in 30. Moving on Defoe is no risk at all IMO.

tbf i think we can do better than him now but he has only had 1 bad season...the guy scores goals & if we let him go he will score goals again so we best have a good replacement is what i am saying..

3rd choice forward for a 3rd choice forward.

Some mug (Pardew/Bruce) who hadn't seen him play much in the last 18 months might also be tempted to pay more than £7m for him, which we'd have to bite their hand off for.

Also 21yo low wager for a 29yo high wager.

He'll score goals for a team who play to his strengths, same as Bent.

That doesn't mean it was a mistake to sell Bent and it won't be a mistake to sell Defoe. He's not good enough for us and never has been.

I've actually removed him from my friends list and ignored him. Joey55 didn't trust him.

Joey and I had one conversation on SC and it went something like this.

Joey: I think we should sign Guerrero
Me: I agree

I wouldn't trust me either!

He was one of the best posters on here as I stated very recently.

Or one standout 3 month spell in a 12 year career.

He's only scored more than 13 goals in a season once remember.

He's got no movement, is always offside, is a flat-track bully, has no bottle (8 penalty misses out of 13) and now no pace.

Have they signed anyone else recently? Last signing I knew of was Cabaye.
