btw quite interesting that we are actively trying to move out unwanted players to bring in quality...theres nothing wrong with that some would say...but

if the defoe rumours are true (which i doubt personally) then surely that is a huge risk if we dont have a better striker lined up?

i mean if we let him go & fail as we did in january to bring in say rossi...then we have a whole berba/frazier scenario again dont we?

No, we don't. Defoe is 3rd choice.

Pav is our best striker, Crouch is "different" and can link up with VDV.

I'd rather see Kane start than Defoe if it comes to it.

3rd choice forward for a 3rd choice forward.

Some mug (Pardew/Bruce) who hadn't seen him play much in the last 18 months might also be tempted to pay more than £7m for him, which we'd have to bite their hand off for.

Also 21yo low wager for a 29yo high wager.

And we'll throw in Crouch for free

For those asking - Leandro was officially a Spurs player as of Last Night

Or one standout 3 month spell in a 12 year career.

He's only scored more than 13 goals in a season once remember.

He's got no movement, is always offside, is a flat-track bully, has no bottle (8 penalty misses out of 13) and now no pace.
:shhh: they might hear you oop norf.

Joey and I had one conversation on SC and it went something like this.

Joey: I think we should sign Guerrero
Me: I agree

I wouldn't trust me either!

He was one of the best posters on here as I stated very recently.

Yeah, where is Joey55? Miss his posts.

Do you reckon Leandro is a potential 'Triffic signing? I seem to remember when we were about to play Sandro for the first time 'Triffic said something along the lines of... "we'll see how good he is, Tottenhams chief scout might not have a job in the morning".

Leandro doesn't seem to remotely fit the bill of a Redknapp signing

Seriously there is a Barcodes supporter that comes here on occassion (I believe he's quite friendly if I'm not mistaken).

Don't want him alerting Mike Ashley......hold up.

Mike Ashley hates those fans. I am now 100% certain that he will buy Defoe :hump:

POTL rubbished the 'medical at Sunderland' speculation re Defoe a week or two ago...I doubt much has changed regarding Clubs in the North East.

Out of the four strikers I would say Defoe is the most likely to stay unless we get a big bid for him...12million plus.

So, whats the deal with FootballAgent 9 dude ? Is he legit or a WUM ? I've seen people arguing about this back and forth, but never a resolution of opinion.

Yeah, where is Joey55? Miss his posts.

Joey moved to Seattle and has always stated that he doesn't use the site while in Seattle as it's too far behind and he misses all conversations. He may be back in the near future.

So we've signed Leandro...but when do we get him, is there an agreement that he plays in Brazil until January

With respect, how much have you seen of the last two to make you satisfied with that quartet? I am not having a good and I am aware how ineffective our strikers where last year but what qualities do the South American pair have that make you potentially happy with them making up 50% of the strikeforce for next season?
Where has that come from mate?

Sorry to be pedantic, but Mexico is in Central America

He'll score goals for a team who play to his strengths, same as Bent.

That doesn't mean it was a mistake to sell Bent and it won't be a mistake to sell Defoe. He's not good enough for us and never has been.
