Does Real and Barca not being interested mean that he's not good enough for us? As if we'd have a chance if they where interested.

look tobi i don't know how else to say it. If mata was good enough for a CL team in the PL madrid and barca would at the very least have show interest. like they've shown interest in Rossi and aguero despite limited ROOM. Bojan is a great example. he's the back up attacking player and now theres a space vacant. Adyebyor is 12m?? mata younger and only 3m more?
both bojan and adeybyor are very good examples to use.

I predict if mata comes to the PL he'll be ok. probably around the reyes quality. We shouldn't be interested because it would be a draw on money and effort when we already have VDV, bale, lennon and Modric.

If we didn't have VDV then mata would be on the list of potentials for us yes.

Jo and Caicedo set to move to Russia from Man City. I wonder how much City are getting for them? Surely Pav would be higher on the Russian's list?

The signing that would REALLY impress me would be Falcao tbh. Cant see it happening tho. Looked at Rossi's goals from last season on you tube earlier. Ridiculous number of penalties he scored!!

you don't spedn time, effort and 15m on a back up for VDV incase he gets injured?!
You pay that for him and he gets put in the starting 11 and then you have all sorts of issues off the ball.

WE sell VDV then mata is on list of players you look at to replace him with. out of the two though in both ability now and potential VDV is better than Mata. so i'll stick with VDV.

WE should be looking at CF's only until thats position is sorted.

is that a critism? i guess being given the pens needs to be taken into consideration... but so should our inability to convert them that probably cost us quite a few points last season.

Sure. And Modric WANTS to go to Chelsea. We own the players, they do what they are told when under Contract.

you can force a player to stay but you cant force a player to go somewhere he doesnt want to...

You can make them stay...............sometimes, but you cannot make them go anywhere against their will...........never.

Think it was just a comparison that N'Zogbia would be relatively a cheap backup, unlike a 25M star (like a Mata).

This window looks like being another let down. All our ITKs have listed players we are linked with and all of them have either rejected the move in one way or another, want to go somewhere else, we can't afford or have been bought by other people. We have been told we can't buy till we sell - we agreed a fee for Palacios, no movement for over a week. O'Hara is sold and Hutton is interesting Villa.

Spurs behave in the transfer window like they do in matches, start playing well when they need to. Soo frustrating!

Srna would be a great addition on many levels - an upgrade on any of our right fullbacks, brings a level of extra leadership on the pitch and also comes with the dreaded 'free kick specialist' tag although I dare say if we brought David Beckham here his set pieces would quickly turn to shit.

He's also won things and you can never have too many 'winners' on your team.

Woah there fella, don't reach for the noose yet. The European transfer window opened 8 days ago, and I can't see Levy waiting until the last day of the transfer window to "race around Europe with a bag full of cash" again.

POTL reckons that we've got something quality lined up, and hopefully it's better than a smurf with jaundice
