What's bad about that? Every player has their value, whether you sell or not. Plus, all he said was that Chelsea's valuation was far too low. Just because he indicates that it doesn't mean he;s saying we will sell him if you give us enough.

you'd be happy with 30m in a market where jordan henderson is worth 20m and andry carrol is worth 35m.. and then expect to acquire two top players with that money?
50m and over only for me, although i'd rather we just let him rot in the reserves and send out a message to every mercenary footballer.

It's all fine and dandy saying we can sign 2 decent players with the money from the sale of Modric but other than VDV and the 2 year (it felt like 2 years) wait for Sandro ... we've been unable to attract any other decent players in 3 windows ... even with Champs League football and wods of cash to spend.
If I was a professional footballer playing at the highest level and Spurs wanted to sign me .... would I be interested in moving to a team who's best player wants to leave, who's manager doesn't know the meaning of tactics and is more concerned with the pending England job and staying out of jail .... and a club that has been unable to attract any other quality players .... I think not.
