From my understanding we agreed a fee with them "informally" but we had to wait for the Bojan deal to complete before we push forward and make it formal.

So us now agreeing with them is just a formality and all will fall in to place, possibly today or tomorrow?

Hopefully we'll just go in with a formal bid as soon as possible...offer Man City a take it or leave it deal for Adebayor at the same time, and if we still can't agree a fee, hand over the cash for Vucinic.

If we haven't made a 'formal' bid then Roma could easily turn around and demand more at any point (a la Zenit St Petersburg).

Then there's also all the personal terms to discuss.

Sounds like it's not close enough to expect much before the weekend.

One thing is for certain, we need to have the option to buy written into any loan agreement for Adebayor. If he rips the EPL apart next year on loan with us, and becomes an integral part of our squad, we need assurances in a contract that we can buy him.

I think you're right - £15 x 2 million should get the likes of Vucininic & Leandro or similar who would definitely improve us so I don't have a massive problem with that. I'd rather go for realistic targets who have the potential to be great for us, as I think Vucinic and Leandro do, rather than waste too much time on players that we know we will never pay the wages for

Then there is the wages issue.

Haha! Yes it was me. It was in response to him asking: "Tottenham fans, who will you sign?"

So my exact words were: "Vucinic on his way and could possibly be back in for Leandro seeing as Internacional have just signed Jo."

Did Darren Lewis and Sam Shuddupyaface twist the words?

Well, all signs seem to point to us signing Vucinic. And if we can bring him in for less than £15m, that's fantastic business by Levy.
