One thing is for certain, we need to have the option to buy written into any loan agreement for Adebayor. If he rips the EPL apart next year on loan with us, and becomes an integral part of our squad, we need assurances in a contract that we can buy him.

This would be the ideal set up, however I get the feeling that it will be difficult enough to convince Citeh just to loan him to us. They must be aware that he is still a top player who is performing very well at the moment so I'd be surprised if they would be willing to sell him to us.

Loving the sig pic of Luka and 'Arry by the way

It seems like the whole window is slowly hotting up. City are about to pump 50m or so on Aguero, Valencia and Napoli are hawking their top players about and bids seem to be flying in left right and centre.

Hopefully it'll be a very busy three weeks.

Mata, sadly, is another one who is probably generating too much influence from 'bigger' clubs for us to get him. Worth trying though.

I'm sure behind the scenes we would have received encouragement from Roma to negoatiate a deal for Vucinic so although 'officially' we haven't had a formal bid accepted, I would of thought that from what has been suggested the deal is close to being finalised.

Haha! Yes it was me. It was in response to him asking: "Tottenham fans, who will you sign?"

So my exact words were: "Vucinic on his way and could possibly be back in for Leandro seeing as Internacional have just signed Jo."

Did Darren Lewis and Sam Shuddupyaface twist the words?
nah just basically discarded it, dont worry i know your right

It's funny isn't it, Barca get udineses forward, they get ours, we get romas, Roma get barcas. It's so circular, and yet there's potential for every team to get it right with their signing, but also for every team to see their new player flop. What seems on paper to be a simple formula is in fact so based on factors beyond anyone's control.

I would like any deals completed as soon as possible. Deadline deals are no good to me. Every game counts. Everton, Utd and City before the 31st. Nine points up for grabs that could be vital at the end of the season.

Please forward this on to Mr Levy.

I've got your kids Dan…I've got your kids.

Looks like any move for Cavani would be out of the window..

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis after seeing Edinson Cavani get injured playing for Uruguay, he said: "Let's not joke around. If they've broken my Edinson, I'll kill them."

Awesome comment :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Valencia's had a change of heart, Mata is for sale (again).

Keeper
Walker-King-Dawson-BAE
Sandro-Modric
Mata -vdV- Bale
Adebayor/Vucinic

That's a PL-winning side right there.

I don't think 2 new towards is such a necessity. Remember, Pav last season as a supersub/ back, with the associated amount of pitch time, manages a goal tally expected of such a player. If one new top striker (Vucinic) scored what you'd hope from him (15+) then that coupled with pavs tally as the second choice would've been enough to get fourth last season. That's still 5/6 more minimum than Defoe and Crouch managed between them. Then, hopefully Bake and VDV keep up the good work and average ten each between them again, and hopefully Modders and Lennon (or Lennon replacement) manage more than their poor goal returns too, something's that's quite likely when a good hold up player like Vucinic is in the team.

Italian sports writer I just seen post on Twitter:

"Mirko Vucinic has only been linked with Tottenham in the UK Media. In Italy, they think he is going to Bayern or Juventus. All links with Tottenham in italian Media, are only when UK press are quoted."

Let me paint you a picture:

First game of the season Phil Neville goes in 2 footed on Vucinic which breaks his leg and leads to him being out for several months. Leaves us stuck with the usual suspects who can't hit a barn door!
