I have not moved on from Germany to Spain. The German deals are very much on BUT I have been told that interest in the Spanish based pair has meant that Tottenham are now focusing on these two players. They will go back to the German deals.

Regarding the FEE for the three. I agree that £15million would be a very good deal for Villa. BUT by giving permission to speak i would suggest its not far off Tottenhams valuation. Expect it to be offered in installlments but we expect that to be declined.
I would suggest that if Villa offer it in cash it could be close to £15million any high and installments.

I can tell you that Villa can not believe that have agreed to sign Nzogbia for less than £10 million and are on a high. I know that Daniel Levy has a reputation for being a mean Negotiator but the new boys at Villa are no mugs.

And so they should be feeling smug. Cracking deal imo and he's gone straight into my dream team. Still think we should have nipped in there :bang:

FFS!!! Ive actually started to youtube Farfan now in an attepmt to convince myself that he might actually be ok!! It hasnt really worked, he offers nothing more than Lennon, I much prefer Affelay!

Obviously you have plenty of time to waste but, seriously, don't bother....he is shit....you know it, I know it....ffs, I suspect he probably knows it too

Again I can only maintain from what I was told last week - Modric is staying. Daniel will not sell at any price - it's now a matter pride.

I have NO information on Modric. Opinion of myself and my source is that he WILL go. My source believes this will be the last time you will get a fee of £35-40 million.
That is why Arsenal are willing to sell Fabregas.
My view is that in the end senior players; Van der Vaart especially, will get tired of it.

On a more positive note; it is my sources opinion that Bale could be a Tottenham player for many years. Apparently a real decent normal bloke.

Absolutely brilliant news if true. Would leave us to be able to concentrate on strikers rather than thinking about who may have to replace Modders.

Let's hope this one is accurate.

Or we'll just continue with our pursuit of midfielders (Diarra, Affelay, Farfan etc...) whilst ignoring the obvious fact that we REALLY NEED A FECKIN STRIKER ALREADY and hope for the best

Crouch £8mil
JJ £7mil
Hutton £5mil

Would be closer to it I think, although tbh I don't think Crouch is worth that but I guess saying as he is a "international" he will be extra.

no it doesn't. It means any of the clubs representatives can talk to any of t6he players representatives.

Often the manager be be the last person to talk to the player as some players (but usually their agents) will want to make sure the financial package is right first before they look further into whether themove could be the right one.

I always thought permission to talk would be us letting Villa talk to the our players/agent regarding wages, personal terms etc.

Although these days I imagine that is probably one of the first things that happens...

I think i stated last week that Alex McLeish will not be involved in the deals. HE has identified the players but other people are doing them. Thats why Nzogbia fee was agreed Yesterday while he was in Asia. First game is tomorrow, second on saturday and new players should be due for meeting him Monday.

We really missed a trick with N'Zogbia. Could've covered 3 or 4 positions for us. Far better player than Pienaar, for example, and would allow us to get rid of Niko and Bentley without risking lack of cover.

What's the point of us negoatiating for weeks on a fee for the player to turn around and say "move to Stoke? **** that"?

I always assumed initial interest etc was confirmed at a very early stage but the personal terms weren't finalised until the club were happy with the fee.

£15M for both jenas and hutton is right, but i wouldnt include crouch in that, that would be day light robbery!! for all 3 i think £22M is fair, £5M hutton, £8M jenas and £9M crouch

Rumour in the Modric thread is Lukas at the training ground without his gear on and shaking hands with players and staff

Any news on that @Thejournalist

Is he finally saying sorry to everyone?

Would have been a good squad player for us, but we just can't fit him in the team at the moment.

Absolutely appreciate it.

I know the Modric debate is a sensitive topic on here - but when someone who regularly posts ITK offers their opinion, this sometimes gets misconstrued and people mistake it for genuine information, which leads to panic in the cyber forum streets.

I just want to assuage any sense of panic.

I meant inital talks regarding terms etc. Stoke for example might go "We are willing to pay you 20k a week with bonuses" and Jenas will tell them to fuck off straight away because it will never be what he wants.

Since I'm pretty sure doing this without telling anyone constitutes tapping up, that is why they would need permisson?
