Yep, so I think we are all gonna have to be patient now until some players are offloaded, Jenas and Palacios for Diarra, Giovani and Keane for Vucinic, or something like that, 2 less players to worry about in the 25 too.

I agree. And it makes sense.

I'm wavering though. Can we really attract the likes of Diarra and Vucinic? Or is it just rumours that will flatter to deceive and disappointment come September...

Off topic, but Internacional play Barca in ten minutes on ITV4 - a chance to run the rule over Leandro (if he plays).

Fazza, that's much too sensible an idea! It's a good thing for us to out for, even if deals for Gio and Palacios go through then we are more likely to see movement on the type of players you have mentioned.

Where's this from? And why on August 2nd?

It's from FTL

Gio goes to Seville €6M

But not until the 2nd of August...

If he was sold before August 1st Spurs would have to give Barca a share = €600k

Comes from a rich friend in Mexico city, who's very close to the family etc. Sounded very plausible to me.
Five year deal.

Champions League- No
High wages- No

Chances- slim

You get the odd player like Berbatov, Modric and VDV coming in, but its once in a few seasons.

This place is just going around in circles at the moment
The jumping on every little scrap of information, or things they can try and make into information is getting crazy.

It is. I think I'm gonna settle in to a "we're gonna sign no one" groove, and that way I won't be disapponted!

If we've got what we currently have, then so be it... nothing I can do about it.

Barcelona vs Internacional kicks off on ITV4 in 10 minutes.

Leandro should be sharp if starting, Sir Les on the panel.

Ahh, now this makes some sense - Sevilla's president was making noises about NOT having signed a pre-contract with us (apparently against the rules in Spain) but they might have some kind of gentleman's agreement about the timing.

The money will go into building a longer term future for the football club

Get the money for ground
build ground
get 60,000 a week through the gates
build revenue
get the marquee players

At the moment, we may get one or two VdV signings from out the blue, we will get one or two kids as for the last 8-9 years and develop and sell at profit. we might get the 1/2 players a step UNDER the so called 'world class' signings we think would come.

But the cold light of day is that the above is pretty much the facts. we'll get the signings but NOT the Ageuros of the world. Wake up if you think that.

As a shareholder, a season ticket holder I want it all. As a mate and friends of people that know, I hear this and that, that builds up my hopes and I pass these on. But in the cold light of day, we're NOT the pull some think and our transfer strategy HAS to be nimble and smart at the moment.

We'll have signings, just have to see how its played out. everyone chill the fuck out.

I wonder as well if the club are desperately trying not to look like a big spending premier league side when at the same time we are going for funding assistance with a new stadium and the associated infrastructure -
so far DL has succeeded

I might add that this is not coming across in a positive light.

yeah... 3 weeks... and we can't agree personal terms with him?

I can imagine the conversation:

MV: I want £100,000 per week.
The club: We'll give you £70,000 per week.
MV: But I want £100,000 per week.
The club: We're offering £70,000 per week.

Repeat conversation for 3 weeks = no deal.

Right - some news!!!!! Can any other ITK confirm this please or I'm having my plonker pulled

Diarra (sp) is done, or ready to go.

Maybe dependent on Wilson going, same day announcement?

What happened to updates 273-277?!

EDIT: Ignore this. Whoever posted the last bit of Vucinic info must have got their numbers wrong, and posted 278. Wasn't sure if there was 5 bits of ITK waiting approval.

A fee 'agreed in principal' doesn't mean a great deal but maybe we are waiting on Vucinic until we've offloaded one of our strikers.

It's risky, particularly with others interested in Vucinic, but it might explain the three week gap.

Udinese have offered far, far more than that. Hopefully they will win him round.
