skyderen COYS:
I'm quite confident, that if Lass signs, I will mean he will be "a third" signing. Lass ain't the Blue or Yellow, would be VERY surprised if that was the case.

That sounds like opinion to me, not ITK. What do you reckon?

I see mata's father and agent has come forwrad and said arsenal bid for him was rejected and he talks about it not been their last offer and how highly he rates inter milan!! again no mention of us just like the whole rossi scenario!! no respect i think and obviously no interest. i dont believe for second its cos spurs want to stay out of headlines and be one of teams mentioned

I think the itk part is that we are expected to sign someone else very soon as friedel was our first signing and diarra would be our third.
The b&y part sounds like opinion, yes.

is Nilmar that good? Doesnt seem to have great stats for club or country - a 1 in 3 player

I think 3 signings was always what the club wanted for this window and I mean 3 top signings...

Would rate Diarra as 1 of those, but definitely as the 3rd piece, not to be underestimated though!!

Even though we're ok in the DM department with Sandro and Palacios (at the moment), i think some people are under-estimating just how big a signing Diarra would be. He's playing at one of the biggest clubs in the world and he's a big favourite amongst the RM fans. Because it's been deemed as a foregone conclusion for the last few days that he will sign, it may have lost its awesomeness somewhere along the line, whereas if we had announced this signing out of the blue, we'd all be 'wahoooo' and 'blimey' and maybe even a Mo Sizlak style 'waaaaaa'.

So, to sum up, Diarra could well be one of the 'persuade Modric to stay' signings. Or he may not be. But he could be.

Makalele Mk.II. Can't imagine Chelsea's fans were awestruck by the signing of him but look at the effect his arrival had on them and indeed what happened to Madrid after his departure. Hopefully Diarra will work out as well for us!

Am I the only one thats a little concerned that Chelsea will make a move for Diarra?

What with Essien being a long term injury problem for them.....
