I think Harry sees Sandro as an "untouchable" now. Earlier in the summer when Harry was asked about the futures of Bale and Modric, he said he didn't want to sell his top players like Modric, Bale and Sandro. He kept mentioning Sandro, despite the interviewer not asking Harry about him.

I'm creaming over the thought of Sandro AND Diarra together, with all our attacking talent in front of them !! Those two bad boys will make us fearsome to play against.

So close, just need a great striker and our starting eleven can compete with anybody in the PL

More than that. I think he single handedly dragged us out of the relegation battle when we signed him. Probably our most important signing in the last couple of years.

He was integral no doubt, and critical to us at that point - we were crying out for a player of his ilk.

Just think he hasn't produced that sort of form consistently enough over the last year or so...although Milan away was titanic.

Couldn't agree more. Will always have a fond place in my heart (named the dog after him!)

i watch madrid. He's had 1 good game V barcas and a few more bad ones. besides, i'm not casting opinion on Diarra's ability to cope in la liga i'm talking about the PL. He's got previous at PL level for being a flattrack bully, his best games for Pompey were not against he best teams in the PL. At Chelsea and ar5ena1 it was the same story.

Had a good game against Man Utd in the FA cup

Diarra is similar to wilson but better on the ball more of a sitting DM with better positioning and ball control

At Woolwich Diarra made under 10 appearances and just over that at Chelski, hard to judge him at those two clubs. Pompey he looked dynamic, better passing range than Wilson. But I think this move shows just how much Wilson has gone off the boil since his form when he first signed. I'd be happy with Diarra.

Finally we'd have four central midfielders worthy of starting for most any teams in the league, and people are moaning.

Our current problem - aside from the striker situation - is that we've a fantastic first team, yet the squad is lacking. Diarra, Luka, Sandro, Tommy are fantastic options to have in the centre of the park. Finally one injury doesn't stuff up the central midfield for months on end.

That's why I'd love another winger, because take Lennon or Bale out and suddenly we're left with mid-table replacements.

This is a squad game.

He can start attacks as well and wants the ball. But I think he could provide Sandro with the platform to get forward. He has the game to be an all round midfield player who can get forward and support, score a few goals and help keep possession of the ball. They could become a great partnership with great strength in all areas.

Both are better than Wilson I think and certainly vastly superior to Jenas and Hudd. It would take our midfield up a level, a central 3 of Mods, Diarra and Sandro would be a match for any midfield in the land including city's trio of Silva, Ya Ya and De Jong.

If Diarra has signed why hasn't it been confirmed on the Official Site, Has the internet guy gone out looting with the rest of them leaving a paper note saying "Back in 5"

As soon as Palacios is done officially, I would say Lass will be concluded and then announced.

exactly mate. way too many people on here looking at first 11 and first 11 only. what we need to do is have even better subs to come on and make huge difference. another winger now, center back and striker and i think we are def ready to rock

Maybe the official statement is pending another signing so they can do both together...
