We'll get 9 points from our first 3 games and sign Rossi and deadline day, BELIEVE

This won't happen full stop, Villarreal have said it doesn't matter how big the offer is they won't sell him unless they have enough time to get in a replacement

Hey guys

Look, I'm not exactly fully of confidence in Levy at the moment myself, but I think it's fair to give him until the end of the transfer window

The last-minute brinkmanship is fine if we sign some top players. And if we do then there'll still be 35 games for the new signings to make a difference. With this in mind I'm not bothered if Levy leaves it until the last day to sign some quality

If he DOESN'T sign some quality, then I'll sit back and watch the fireworks on here and say "Fair enough"

By and large I agree. However, the longer the clock ticks, the type of player WE NEED becomes less likely IMO.

I couldn't get onto here for over an hour, and thought that the site must have been overloaded as we must have signed a megastar. Now back on earth.

This doesn't make sense.
It doesn't matter how much the offer is...but they will sell him if they get enough money to replace him?

If ITKs are to believed we're still in negotiations with them. Surely if they had no intention of selling Rossi then they wouldn't be negotiating?

I just dont believe we are going to get Rossi Levy is playing with fire this could just become last Jan all over again not only is it a bitch dealing with the club we then need to convince the lad to come!! Id be happy with JKH as somebody else said hes exactly what we need v.much the fox in the box speaks the language i dont see many hiccups...it would also save us £10 - £15 million quid  he may no longer be in that bracket of the cream of Europe but he could v.much be the cream of THFC

Situation: We have strikers who score goals from open pay, but not when teams sit deep and stifle play. We create many chances, indeed we have a massively creative midfield
Problem: Last season, many of the more lowly teams in the league began to treat us as a real threat, sit deep and stifle play = we had difficulty scoring goals against teams that we dominated play against and really should have been beating. This meant we dropped upwards of 15 points that we really should have claimed and massively affected our final league position.
Solution: Buy a striker who, forget all other attributes, can make space for himself and score in packed penalty areas. /of!

Now, can anyone name a striker who has been linked with us through ITK, who is affordable, who may be available?

Won't take any further part in the debate as I fear it may lead to me insulting certain members.

If we sign Huntelaar I really really hope he makes me eat my words.

I took the same attitude with Gallas last Summer - and was so glad I was wrong.
If there is one thing I hate it is when someone won't support a player after he signs because his opinion prior to signing was that that player was not what was needed.
The above argument does not apply to Joey Barton:wink:

 It is on occasions like this that I am more than happy to say :stupid:
