And yet it's only the Mail that have put up 25 million, which has been 'bought' by a few on here.

Additionally, as those 'sources' have been confirmed by no one then they should be treated in the same way as the ITK wouldn't you say? Pinch of salt and all that?

But that doesn't happen. The first negative report is swallowed hook, line and sinker. Panic ensues.
The first link with quality is swallowed with rapture ensuing.

Everybody buys into the tripe without fail. We all feel the excitement and the disappointment. Jesus, we've even had calls for the Chairmans head on here FFS. That's not 'buying' the 'meeja' tripe?

Seriously, some on here really need their bumps felt.

We know he is asking high prices, Kranjcar himself said that £12m was pricing him out of a move, Palacios' agent said we are asking a lot. This not conjecture, the whole football world knows Levy prides itself in playing hardball. Whilst his stance done a lot of good things for the club, this summer it is mildly infuriating.

It's called a starting point for negotiations. Every buying club, with half an ounce of negotiating nous, will come in with an offer below what they themselves value a player at. Likewise the selling club will ask for an amount above that that they value the player at. They haggle for a bit and, generally, meet somewhere in the middle.
It is a simple, basic principle of negotiations that has been carried out for millenia.

But it is infuriating for the fans because the wish list doesn't come to fruition on demand. I tune into here daily to a steady diet of Veruka Salts, 'Don't care how, I want it now!' And when it's not provided instantly then it instantly becomes the fault of anyone and everyone associated with THFC.

Fucking Childish actually and displays a total lack of understanding of the predicament the club is in. The fans want a 'marquee' signing but think that, because Citeh can settle in days, we should be able to too. Citeh, Chelski, Utd, goons, Liverpool, Juventus, Real, Milan and now PSG and Malaga (FFS) can offer much higher wages than we can because they're subsidised by halfwits with money to burn (apart from the goons that is, they're just supported by halfwits ).

Enough on this in here though as this isn't ITK.

where are these £10m "quality" players? henderson and downing are now £20m players in this market. id want some players in exchange including drogba (with a years wages paid), sturridge and the that josh fella, as well as £30m

I will only accept 450 million pounds plus Torres and nothing less. That would ensure we can replace one world class player with another. 30 million pounds are money that excite the likes of Sunderland and bolton. Liverpool spend 50 million pounds on average players on high wages. I see jamie is talking shite again.

To be fair, it hasn't been days though has it? It's been three transfer windows.
