If I recall correctly an ITK said expect one in, two out by the end of the week. It's unlikely that all of that will happen tomorrow.

EDIT: Actually it was Mystery, and the reading's even worse for his credibility than I thought, as none of the three have left yet and if they don't leave tomorrow....

Just a thought on why the bid might not go in straight away....Levy needs to tell Harry.

In my experience every window since they were introduced has resulted in us being linked with all and sundry, normally world class players because they're the ones that not only we believe we should be linked with but because they fuel our thinking that we are one of the big players. Ultimately I've found we rarely end up with the ones we are linked with but get ones that are under the radar but still improve the squad. The difference now is that given the 25 man squad and all that entails we have to be more sensible. In a roundabout way whoever we buy will undoubtedly improve on what we have but it might not be the marquee signing that we all crave.

Meh, if I had a private jet and had the option of spending a weekend in sunny Portugal as opposed to sending a fax I know what I'd choose!

If Levy is trying to do a £25M+ deal you can surely see why he might want to do it face to face? He could easily go out there, agree a fee and then submit a formal bid after making space in the squad.

Would it be unreasonable to suggest that levy and porto boss could have agreed a price at least in a face-to-face meeting?? so that "next week" all we would need to do is call up and say lets do it and pop the cheque in the airmail? the idea that we would still be bidding next week isnt working for me

He did have but signed a new contract during Copa America which most probably put that price up :roll:

Who cares? As long as it doesn't kill any potential signings, I couldnt give a shit. Hasn't exactly got a stellar track record, either.

Yeah i guess, sounds logical. Falcao and Adebayor would be bloody amazing! I wouldnt mind waiting until deadline day if we were to get those two then.

Harry must have given him some inclination that he wants Falcao/Hulk/whoever, otherwise why the hell is Levy going out there?

Can't see us paying 30 milllion for Falcao anyways.
