Couple of things...

Firstly...what's the obsession with Fridays?? If we've got the guy sorted then lets get him registered/announced so he can keep Vidic etc busy on Monday night!

Secondly...was he watching Cardozo or Ruiz??? Surely he's capable of watching more than one player...!

Thirdly...the tea joke in the round-up...class! The missus wasn't so impressed tho...nevermind.

Hope today is a good one for us all.

Ruiz scored last night, which is more than our strikers were doing last season; harry must have been wetting himself.

Although he didn't, Ruiz looks like the kind of striker that can create a chance for himself in a tight spot, something that none of our strikers can do IMO.
Has echo of Berbatov about his play IMO.

In order of who I like to see come in next (assuming Adebayor is done)....

1. Diarra - still a long way from being done it seems.
2. Ruiz - I reckon we could tie this one up pretty quickly (if we're interested)
3. Cahill/Tasci - a deadline day jobby, and dependant on departures.

Would love a new face to start against Utd on Monday.

Villereal play their first champions league play off tie tonight so heres hoping they lose and Rossi won't have the Champions League as a reason to stay at Villereal paving the way for a move to us.

Thats a nice though but I really do think the Rossi thing is dead

Ever the pessimist I am finding it difficult to get excited over adebayor. It's a. player who has no future at his current club and over the last 3 seasons has scored an average of 10 goals per season.

I don't see him as a meggastar signal of intent.

What were you expecting?

We don't have CL football nor do we pay the type of wages that attract the "mega star" player.

If you thought we could sign a player in the Augero level of fame and world standing you were sufferring delusions of grandure. If we actually sign Adebayor he will be about as big a signing as we could have hoped for in my opinion.

POTL is basically putting his balls on the line Adeipf style with his statements regarding Adebayor (following his DEAL for Diarra comment) do we now take this as gospel and expect Ade to be pictured in a spurs shirt before the weekend? or could he be jumping the gun?

No quotes or pictures. I bet that story came from this very forum. Literally a one line article too, proper shit journalism.

There was a lengthy discussion about this yesterday, and it ended up with the consensus that we will not sign him. He is only training with us. Let's drop this topic now, please!

When space in our squad is at a premium, this would be very strange move and not one that would be welcomed - truly head scratching!

he's not that bad. not sure if he has the class needed to make an impact, but certainly better than jenas, more prolific also...

If Crouch played tomorrow then he'd be cup tied IF he moved to Stoke or Fulham, yes?
