I have a suspicion that if we sign Diarra, then Levy will try for Kaka on loan, then milk chelsea for £££ + Drogba/Anelka for Modric. Tbh if levy sold for say £25m(+) + Drogba, then I think thats a great deal.

We have to be real here and say that if Modric is refusing to play and his heads been turned, then as much as I hate to say it, then we might aswell milk chelsea for all we can get while we got the right cards.

It was me who met Defoe in Vegas. Ian wright is one of his best friends and is his mentor. Defoe at the time said he loved spurs but wants to play and didnt think he could play alongside rafa. After Thursday I disagree that he can't but he told ne if he leaves he's liked at arsenal and wudnt want to move away from London.

i think this is the definitive week and few days for the modric deal myself. its either a case of levy caving in and selling or modric staying. i find it disgusting myself cos its blatently obvious he aint injured. the bottom line is he should be told by harry and club that he has to play and put in effort just like nasri did the other day. why cant he do it? im simply flabbergasted at it and makes my blood boil. fact its inted away makes it even worse.

under no circumstances should he be sold but find his behauvious simply unacceptable. we all know harry staying or trying to protect player but i think now its just gone 2 far. this 5 or 6 days leading to city home match will tell alot.

Anyone who wants us to sell to Chelsea is a fucking mug. We've been absolutely shitted on by them for the last 2 months. The feeder club mentality at our club disgusts me. Do not sell!!!

Really? £25mill and Drogba? Drogbas not worth much anymore he has one GOOD season left i reckon, maybe two at a push.

All £25mill gets you these days is Torres' chest, arms and head, 2/3rds of Andy Carroll or a whole Stewart Downing.

Luka Modric could easily play for Barca or Madrid, he's still young and will undoubtedly be among the top midfielders in the world, he is on a 6 year contract and we have a some chavs across London with access to Billions of £££, we could milk them for much more. £25million and Drogba would be a terrible deal.

drogba is 33 and not player he was few years ago. simply nuts to give chelsea best player we had in 30 years and one which will make them so much stronger and better. we def get the rotten part of that deal.. no way.

if chelsea value him greatly then tell them pay 50 million or fuck off out it.

id love to see him rot in the stands if he plays up like he seems to be (wanted us to do same to berbatov).....but id love drogba at the club even for a year as i reckon he hit 20+ for us and get us back in top 4.......

absolutely agree.

if we have any aspiration of been among best in this country and ridding ourselves of this losing mentality, feeder club. willingness to accept second best and our place in league nonsense , list goes on..then we keep our best players at all costs?

i seriously wonder about people on here saying shite like 25m and drogba or even benyayoun or kalou aor sturidge and putting it across as been realistic and acceptable? i mean seriously, what the fuck do people watch ? all of these are wasters for chelsea

Best option- sign top striker and make modric stay and play
2nd best- sign top striker and make modric rot in stands if refuse to play
3rd best- if cant sign striker- sell man utd and get welbeck on loan?
4th best- 25mil and drogba for modric

Just had a txt chelsea bid us 30mil plus add ons and a player at 9pm tonite! but has not been rejected or accepted? They are waiting till morning after there is a meeting with a board member and harry to talk about the offer.....

When the likes of Man Utd have to sell their best player against their will......................every single club is a selling club!

There is absolutely no disgrace in selling a player that wants to leave for a huge profit!

i wouldnt want any other chelsea player than drogba and that would be just for one last big season....it would be a disaster window if all we had on sept 1st was friedel and modric sat in the stands sulking....all im saying is that if no decent player will come to us/ we wont spend what it takes then we gna have to do something which aint gna please everyone

Mate if it was in my hands, I wouldn't even sell for £1billion, but lets face it, we have 1 unhappy player, and we are a business, do we continue to pay him his £65k a week for the next season with him rotting in the reserves and his value sliding? And look at Fabregas going for £30m, this is the same saga arsenal had with fabregas and they lost in the end. We will not get over £30m in my opinion. The best we would get is £25m-£30m plus a player.

This isn't about Modric anymore, its about us as a club and whether or not so called "bigger clubs" can push us around and take our best players whenever they feel like it.

We have to make a stand and not sell or prepare to bend over and take it when the next team comes in for Bale, then VDV, Sandro, Walker and so on. What does it say to the rest of the players if we sell him?? That we're a small club that'll sell their best players if they kick up a fuss! I'm sure the Berba situation is adding fuel to the driving forces behind Modric's move

I just cant see Levy giving in despite people thinking he just wants more cash - this really could set the club back years and not because of losing Modric but because of the after effects the sale would cause.
