Ade deal hold up is that were looking to get him in permanently..With City giving him a compensation package. I posted this the other night but my info no longer goes in the RO section.. If the permanent deal can't be agreed then we will tie up the loan deal... Diarra personal terms to be ironed out tomorrow.

Hmm, Redknapp did say today on talksport that the was no chance of us signing Adebayor on a permanent deal, due to the wages. Whether or not he is fully informed about this atm is another question...

I was having a pint tonight with my mate (she's more like a little sister). She informed me tonight that her cousin is dating Defoe. I asked if he said anything and all she knew was that by the end of the window he will either be at Spurs or Arsenal.

I won't claim to be ITK, i did ask her to see if she could find anything out and will post if she does

I'm imagining if we took Adebayor on a perm deal we could afford his wages if we paid him a very large signing on fee (i.e £8m) and then stuck him on 80k or something. Would make sense, even if City still charged us 10m or something for him.

Imagine we did that and then after a year he kicks up a fuss and we sell him on, we would have essentially paid him a shitload of wages in advance whilst potentially not receiving the full value of them in future years.

Doubt we would pay him an astronomical signing on fee based on that, could perhaps pay it in yearly installments but then the other players aren't totally thick and would probably not be happy at him receiving lump sums of say £2m per season.

Na but honestly, who knows, I myself would like to think tomorrow and if not then certainly Tuesday. From reports it doesn't seem like the deal is too far off at all so fingers crossed!

Though the money would be paid to the player, I was regarding it more as a transfer fee than wages. Would you pay 20m for Adebayor? I think I would.

My main point was that I doubt Levy would go for this option which people on here seem convinced is a viable option, I have absolute faith that he wouldn't do something stupid financially.

Yea it's fair enough, it wouldn't exactly be so far fetched for someone who's ITK to say summin' like 'Diarra to be announced tomorrow'. I apologise though, I've see similar posts that are a lot more 'daft' than what you had posted, it just happened to be yours I picked on :lol:

i think everyones frustrated...i never learn- its same story most transfer windows- january time im just gna check OS once a day and chill out....i used to enjoy the rumours but now i just get frustrated--ive been following spurs for almost 20 years and this is the closest weve been to success but its so near yet so far:bang:
