If we sign him permanently we wouldn't get him until next week (unless City are that stupid). We just keep on having to wait don't we.

Is it a free transfer CM?

Think that was ridiculous paper talk this morning. The price talked about for the permanent has always been about £12m. An absolute bargain considering its 1/3 of the considerably inferior Carroll.

Ade deal hold up is that were looking to get him in permanently..With City giving him a compensation package. I posted this the other night but my info no longer goes in the RO section.. If the permanent deal can't be agreed then we will tie up the loan deal... Diarra personal terms to be ironed out tomorrow.

Thanks CM, appreciate the info.

I know the CEO at one of the major English clubs and he says that Levy is the master at getting the best deal for Tottenham. Very tough negotiator apparently (as we all know).

Hmm last summer was very poor window for masterful Levy and Jan was an out and out catastrophe .

His brinkmanship may work here and there but the failure to sign striker options recently has deeply damaged our club in my opinion .

Totally believable this and would explain the hold up....was speculating the same.

Sounds good.

I'm imagining if we took Adebayor on a perm deal we could afford his wages if we paid him a very large signing on fee (i.e £8m) and then stuck him on 80k or something. Would make sense, even if City still charged us 10m or something for him.

How CM isn't in the RO, when you consider the strength of others, discerned through pure logic, is quite staggering.

There was a some gossip (media not ITK) that they were willing to let him leave on a free - crazy I know - however if was the case below is how we could do it and not smash the wage cap/budget

Wages wise we couldn't get anywhere near his £170,000pw. However say we paid him £90,00pw and made him our top earner, which would have some other consequences on the wage bill as I'm sure others would want parity. Give him a three year contract and he gets £14m in wages over three years, if he stays at city he gets over £26m. So we are £12m short - but if we didn't have to pay a transfer fee then we could give him a whopping signing on fee say £6-8m then we could make up the rest with goalscoring bonuses, appearence fees, win bonus, loyalty bonus, etc. So not beyond the realms of possibilty that we could make him an interesting enough offer.

if only the laws of football and transfers applied in the real world!!!!

I would be off tomorrow by simply telling my bsss that my head wasnt in right place...

and when i do go in, when asked if my work is finished, i could say "done" and go home early and blame the pile i have left on my desk on last minute problems.....
Boss- thought u said u done your work?
Me- done
Boss- have u gone mad? i can see your work sitting there
Me- done -black and white mate
Boss- what?
Me- Black and White. Considering doing work in next 7-10 days
Boss- I blame levy for this, your head isnt in the right place, have a few weeks off paid

Depends, there's a good chance he won't be fit enough to play by then. We know that and they know that. He's not had any preseason.

Think we had a similar situation with Gallas last year and he wasnt ready for a week or so?

Wouldn't a half-fit Adebayor be better than a fully fit Crouch (or Pav)?

Ok, thanks.

To be more precise (if I understood the explanation given correctly): The Mods weren't invalidating his sources, per se, just grading them as not particularly close to the corridors of P.
I could be wrong...they definitely didn't say he shouldn't post his ITK, or for folk to rubbish it, just not to bother with the RO.

Why isn't he in the RO section, Mr Pink?

We don't know but it appears to be enough that certain "members" thought it necessary to publicly castigate him on here the other night.......

Very dissappointing:bang:

Keep it coming CM!

Just to add, I think that Harry is talking his way into the sack. How the hell you can have a situation where a chairman says something and the manager publicly and repeatedly calls into question that decision is beyond me:shrug:

I want that man out of my club if he can't keep his stupid mouth shut, which he clearly can't!
