Thanks fella

I thought you had a great window............even the stuff about Kaka wasn't wrong because we obviously had talks with him.
Cahill probably was touch and go ...............but the deal didn't come off, same goes' for Diarra.

I enjoy reading your stuff and I hope you keep filling us in with your info.

Thanks.

All the ITKs deserve enormous credit for making all this so exciting, and the mods have been exceptional running this whole show, so thank you to them.

A&C your round ups are genius and I for one have thoroughly enjoyed the ride on SC/ITK this summer!

Fantastic.

I said it at the start of the window,i have no faith in Danny Levy and was laughed off by the happy clappers....one of them replied with the word... staggering and judge only when thw window closes

Well the proof is in the pudding

Gloating is unbecoming...especially about something you should actually be really sad in being proven right about.

I was in the wait and see party.
We've waited, we've seen...I'm not happy.
I don't agree with your focus on penny-pinching, I don't think that is the problem.
I think the problem is that Levy clearly favours the DOF system. he has went with a conventional manager. But because he can't trust that manager with the money, we have not really had either. Levy has been acting like a surrogate DOF and he just isn't up to it.
He should go with a DOF, and if Redknapp won't work with him, get a manager who will. Or he should go with a conventional manager, and let him conduct the transfer business. If he doesn't trust Redknapp, replace him with one who he can trust.

I don't do knee-jerk, which is why I say wait-and-see, when some jump in too quickly. I have watched this unfolding since Redknapp took charge - and that is my considered opinion.

Leaving the riverside guys ... God bless us ... fuiiiii

The team's home stadium is known as the "Giant of the River Bank", or Beira-Rio, on the banks of the Guaíba River, and it holds 60,000.[2]

Glimmer of hope?

Guys, after years of reading the posts on this board, the negativity tonight is enough to make me post my first comments. First and foremost we are all here as we support the club, it's history and it's potential - this is a real, sensibly run club that does not live beyond its means. Yes the likes of citeh, chelsea etc treat the game as an extended version of football manager, but is that really the model you want us all to emulate? Last season proved success can be earned the right way, and not the easy way...is our squad radically different from the same one that got us all so proud when we beat some of the best in Europe? Does it really matter how much we've spent? What matters is that we,ve improved where we needed too, kept our best assets, and can now also give some of future stars a chance to prove their worth... keep the faith guys, we are Tottenham, super Tottenham from the Lane..

I said top 8 at the end of last season and I'm finding it hard to shake the idea. Unless something dramatic happens.

Nah...still good enough to compete for 4th.

Just a slightly disappointing window, not for what we did, which was fine...but for what we didn't do, which was show our ambition.

I really think Parker will be the catalist to our attack. Walker will be like a new signing, and if we have 2 defensive midfielders we'll have one of them to cover on that side when he gets forward. I fancy Modric to move forward a bit and do more of his work closer to the opposition penalty box.

I think the 4-2-3-1 is the way forward for us now. Adebayor is the perfect fit for that system. Sure a better backup for him would have been great but those type of players are tough to get. I'd like to think we'll get Leandro in January anyway because it was always bound to be on Internacionals terms that one (when their season is over).

With Sandro and Parker in centre midfield we'll be a lot more solid at the back too. Less exposure for the 2 centre backs, so even if we're short and need Bassong to come in I think he'll do ok. We may renew our interest for Cahill in Jan too with only 6mths on his contract. That would be a great mid-season boost if it happens.

Not a great window but a very good one imo. The key was keeping our star players and adding one top class striker. The Parker signing will add what has been missing since Palacios went off the boil. I'm excited about the young prospects too this season, including the new blood we have in now. They could do a good job in the Europa and allow the senior players to rest for the League games.

I fancy us to really push for top 4 again this season. I think the Champs League really took it out of us last season. We will need to get 2 or 3 more quality players in for Champs League if we make it, but for this season I think we're good enough. It will be close between us, Arsenal and Liverpool but we're capable of another great season.

Very much this.

we all live for ITK during the windows whether right or wrong. regardless of our frustrations of the night, got to thank all the ITK for providing in good faith. it's been a rollercoaster yet again, just a shame it never reached the heights we all hoped.

Stoke have had an awesome window. Crouch, Palacios, Woodgate, Upson amongst others. Excellent for a club of their stature.

I'm reasonably happy but Cahill and another striker would've been nice. Maybe we have Leandro lined up in Jan so we were never in for another striker? it's easy to blame Levy for not coughing up for Cahill but also understandable that he didn't want to pay 15-17m for someone in his last season, but more importantly, maybe Cahill didn't fancy us after being linked with arsenal and city.

Adebayor and Parker will make a big difference to us if they stay fit.

Understood. I am not bashing his ITK, Or even B&Y. I just didn't like the way he was dismissive of other's info himself. Smacks of double standards to me.

Believe me, I am not one for starting an ITK witch hunt. Pinches of salt and all that. It just seems that POTL has lost his manners. And my gran taught me that manners cost you nothing.

God bless your gran, jim.

In the season we got 4th Bassong and Kaboul played very well together. Last season against Inter at WHL they were also solid. Something for us to think about?
