We're at home against an open, newly promoted side. It's just the sort of game in which out attacking them should reap rewards, and also the sort of game where our two wide men should be able to rediscover their form. It's also good to stick with a side who won the last game, and when you're on good form as a whole that's the best time to stick with players who have lost form as they're far more likely to regain that form in a winning side than a losing side.

I'd like Redknapp to drop Parker for Sandro. Ideally I'd prefer Gomes to Friedel.

Subs: Livermore Parker Defoe Dos Santos Rose Pavlyuchenko Keeper

I'd go with double0' team.

Is Traore (?) QPR's first choice LB?

Hmm I don't know on this one. I think we need to win the midfield and use it as a foundation to literally pummel QPR into submition. I kind of fancy seeing us with the formation from the goals and assists thread, so:

Friedel

Walker----Kaboul----Bassong----BAE

Parker---Sandro---Modric

VDV

Defoe----Adebayor

I likes it. I did fancy trying to get Defoe in there, but in the end decided on Lennon.

Would like to see Bale on the bench for this one. I think he could do with a bit of a rest, he's played a lot of football for one so young and it's starting to show a bit.

A bit of rotation wouldn't hurt Bale, that's for sure. And I'm minded to fit Defoe in while the going's good, because you just know someone's going to nick his shooting boots at Christmas.

There is always the option of a Chelses style Diamond I guess, which means we have the fullbacks protected by a DM when the go forward but we'd also get to keep VDV dead centre, and have two forwards. I'm always loathed to rely on fullbacks completely for width though. Walker will find it natural, and BAE with his pace and skill should too but he doesn't ever seem to get forward that much, though it could be down to Bale being in front of him. I know Barca do it, but we're not exactly Barca. It is, essentially, a 3-5-2 hybrid anyway.

This. But it won't be, i think Redknapp will go with:

Friedal

Walker----Kaboul----Bassong----BAE

Lennon----Parker----Modric----Bale

VDV----Adebayor

I would like to see this for a number of reasons:

1) it includes all our strikers who are in form
2) it includes Sandro and Parker which should ensure we win the midfield battle; and
3) Bale could maybe do with a break on the bench, however this could be just the game that sees him back into his stride - so it could be a touch short sighted.

I expect BBLG's team to be Harry's come Sunday though, although Harry may want to include Defoe in the starting line up without moving VDV right.

Some interesting choices for Harold.

Unless any injuries it will be the same as Blackburn and we all know it, an I for one wouldn't be upset with that. Parker has enough to see off Barton or Derry and sandro can make an appearance later when we are 4-0 up.

QPR will probably line up in a sort of 4-4-1-1 system, possibly 4-5-1 so I would like to see us match them in the middle - Barton will tuck in from the right side and Taarabt, whilst not the most diligent of workers off the ball, will drop deep to pick up the ball, if he is selected, and this will create a spare man scenario if we go in with Parker/Mod as a Cm2 with VDV playing between the lines.

I reckon Redknapp will go this way, playing openly to draw them out and let our superior quality do the talking, but when you leave a spare man in the centre you are always vulnerable, and if Derry and Faurlin sit deep between the lines, VDVs position is easily nullified - like it was at Newcastle where Cabaye and Tiote sat deep just in front of their defence in VDVs space.

I expect Redknapp to go something like this...

Friedel
Walker Kaboul Bassong BAE
Lennon Parker Modric Bale
VDV
Adebayor

Possibly VDV right side, Defoe with Adebayor up front.

I'd like to see, in a 4-3-3, although there is more chance of Didier Zokora scoring an overhead kick I guess...

Gomes
Walker Kaboul Bassong BAE
Sandro
Parker Modric

I would also go with what we had at Blackburn. There's absolutely no telling how that diamond formation would work and it obviously lacks a lot of natural width.

It would be interesting to see, but not on Sunday. Too much of a risk in my opinion.
