Top 3 would do very nicely indeed :hump:
Put your faith in Daniel as we are 'talking' to agents of 2 of them and its up to him to decide if he wants to pay the money to do the deal!!

Could be very very exciting.

ps we are at the exactly same situation with leandro as we were in the summer regarding we just need to pay what they are asking and funnily enough it has gone up more than 5 million since then due to competitive tension of other clubs noticing him.
He still wants to come and play for us and is up for the move so fingers crossed!

Seems to be great every time I've seen him play and the Villa fans rate him very highly. I would fear that waiting one more season could cost us big bucks, he's not likely to be cheap at the moment, let alone next year. That's all assuming that Villa would want to sell him, which they won't.

They were really excited by him at first, but apparently he finished last season poorly and wasn't much cop at the beginning of this one. Early days yet. The one I'd be looking for from Villa is Gary Gardner.

Any truth in the Vertonghen rumour?

We know all about him and his situation is that he wont be sold until the summer unless someone is going to pay silly ridiculous money?

No chance!!

Damn YOU JJ! Stop Playing with my emotions :bang: lol

The dutch media seem pretty sure that he's going to newcastle

Would he want to come here, knowing that there will be 4 other guys who will be competing for a spot, and england international who is vice captain, a french international who was french u21 captain, the ex french captain and the club captain who is a club legend

Leandro (not damiao) the one who plays for Gremio. 18 years old. A cheaper Neymar.

The thing is, I could give you a lot more names. Could have told you about Shaqiri, even before last summer. Could have told you about Lucas Moura (Sao Paulo) too. Hell, anyone with a working copy of "football manager 2011" could have. And I don't even play that game.

Our scouting (or possibly our transfer policy) pisses me off. Why do we not take chances?

There are not that many who would add much fo us. Dembele is strong and has a good touch, Hoilet and Ademwingie both have the kind of pace that gives Lennon his appeal and Berbatov is still a class act. The question would be, would any of thes four back themselves to come and have a nailed on starting spot at Spurs? Pienaar, Krankjar and Bentley all impressed elsewhere but struggled to make an impression with us. Milner and Kuyt could both do a job for us in widish / working roles imo

We used to use the scattergun approach when Arnesen was here, it didn't work

Also as for young potential see Bostock and Parrett

Personally I cannot see the likes of Dembele, Kuyt, Agbonlahor or Odemwingie improving us at all. We should be shopping in Harrods now, going after the likes of Eden Hazard instead of buying more squad fillers

Would they have gotten work permits?

Remember Rodrigo Defendi? No? Exactly.

Bryan Ruiz. Hell, he said he wanted to join us instead of Fulham about 2 weeks ago anyway.

People are quick to dismiss these players because we should be aiming higher, and yet loic remy could have joined last year and people on here thought we should aim higher. The same could be said of Edson cavani or milito before that!

Maybe these are the chances we need to take
