Why? Anyone with enough sense to know how to sneeze had worked it outI wish POTL had come out yesterday and confirmed 'Bacon Boys' was just about DL and DE completing the Verts deal...

........and Sandra
It's this. A thousand times this.Bringing home the bacon ie getting the man we're after. The scribes means the contracts getting ready for signing. That's my view of it.
Basically, most of the site has been in a terrific mood today for no reason whatsoever, and as we were having fun with noah's misspelling of Vertonghen's name as Vertonghen, suddenly the news broke of it being done and now the name will forever have a positive and happy association. Unless Vertonghen scores an own-goal against Arsenal, and they it will quickly become negative and he'll go from Vertonghen to Bastard.

Sadly, you could slap certain people around the head with this, you could twist it up, wrap it in paper and ram it firmly up the botties and you could tattoo it onto their bell-ends and they'd STILL be coming up with fantastic alternative solutions that have Levy in Mongolia upping a Yak or something.
Wow, looks like the rumors of Levy wanting to get our transfers done early might be true for once
Now just to sign Ade and Leandro and keep Bale and perhaps Modric and i'll be quite happy with our transfer dealings
It's been something like 27 degrees here today, and I work next to a park (Cathedral grounds actually, but a "park" to all intents and purposes) that happens to be very popular with the sixth-formers from the local private girl's school.
I had every reason to be in a terrific mood today.

I agree that it is almost certainly in reference to Vertonghen, but the reason people are so confused is because it's such a bloody awful clue. 'Bringing home the bacon' generally refers to bringing money home, so unless we are selling players I have no idea why he has used this phrase. If bacon in some way refers to somebody Danish then I could agree that it makes a little sense, but Vertonghen is Belgian. Anyway, not that I want to open a new can of worms, but it's just a bit of a bad clue, that's all.
It's no blue & yellow that's for sure...
If Blue and Yellow was Ade and Leandro it could be set for another outing this summer...

Nothing has been confirmed ANYWHERE.

I think of it like a corporate structure
Noah was product development and came up with Vertonghen
You were like the VP and signed off on it
And now I'm PR.....getting the word out
My friend you have created a monster.Don't quite know how to rep a post, maybe due to phone, but rep for this
