We had 3 for the whole of this season.

1st Half (Ade, JD, Pav) 2nd Half (Ade, JD, Saha).

Personally, I would like to see JD sold and us bring in all 3 with Rafa as the no. 10 option.
Somewhat sentimentally, there is something about JD that I really like - speed/no backlift - but he plainly doesn't want to stay in a pool of strikers where he won't be first choice. But pragmatically, hanging on to him for another year would allow new strikers to find their feet too. (I really hope he gets to play in the Euros and scores a hatful. But sadly, I don't see him starting)

True, but a) Ade can help them do that and b) one more year down is less of a transfer fee for us.

For me, he is a great goalscorer, but very selfish.

wouldnt annoy me to see JD moved on while he still has value, plus hes a greedy wee fecker that cant stay on side

I think he's worth moving on whilst he has value, but then IF he's happy to do next season what he has for us this then he could be a useful player for us.

He should be made to get rid of his gay boy haircut though. :)

Without wanting to get into the ITK slag fest which may occur soon, i do think that JJ and Mystery are two of the most reliable ITK's, along with Rebrab. It also seems that Ryantegan knows his stuff when it comes to Harry. All those guys are saying that Harry is staying.

The other ITK's (one in particular) all seem to have fairly poor track records of late, leading me to believe that there are perhaps not as ITK as they used to be.

So whilst i think Harry leaving is no bad thing, i don't think it's looking likely.

To be fair JJ has not said Harry is not leaving, He said he was not going to Chelsea.

He did say there was stuff to come out though that he could not discuss currently. That could range from a new contract to being given the sack! I think no one on hear really knows and this limbo period is not good for anyone.

SACK HIM OR BACK HIM...........AND SOON

at least we are getting ITK from players I want. Plus if Remy is used as a forward right player we do need 2 centre forwards who can lead the line

Been wanting to post this all day, but been in meetings all morning and afternoon!

The rumours regarding HR, are completely RUBBISH. As are the rumours re DL and HR not getting along, things are fine between the pair, opposites attract... HR will sign a new contract before pre-season.

Both know this is the window that will make or break us, but they both know we need to make massive signings, not just big money, but players that will take us forward.

Vertonghen, as most of you are aware, is done and dusted, and will be at HH tomorrow for a medical.

We had a bid of 11M + Addons for Damiao turned down, we will DEFINATELY go back in with a bigger bid.

Our three striker targets are ofcourse Ade, LD and Remy, but we will only go for the two.

Expect Nelsen to be released this week.

Thought JJ confirmed the Leandro bid was £20m (with Inter wanting £25m)?

Also, we don't need to release Nelsen as he's a Bosman.

We need all three of Ade, Leandro and Remy, unless we go for a more traditional RW instead of Remy.

£11m plus add-ons could mean the total bid was around £20m.

I would be delighted with 2 of those 3. Preferably Remy and one of the others because I think we need more goals from the wide positions.

Verts, Remy and Ade/Leandro would be a great upgrade. Maybe 1 or 2 deals on top of that towards the end of the window and we'll be sorted.
I reckon we'll go for LD and Remy. Ade's wages are a big problem for us.
Ade will cost a lot less than the others though I imagine. City will no doubt cut their losses with him.

lads...
At the end of the day we can all speculate... even those 'in the know' are hearing conflicting stories. We all have our opinions but truth be told Harry has delivered to us what we have wanted for so long - the Champs League and Top 4 finishes... Granted things could have been better last season but considering the almighty fuck up that transpired following the Newcastle demolition, i think we should just be grateful for what we got. For all of Harry's faults, he's given us what we wanted, whether we agree with what he does and how he does it, the job has been done.

Bottom line... im on the fence (splinters and all!)... what will be, will be...!

Im more interested in seeing Vertonghen in his new Chicken Badge shirt... and hopefully Ade, Leandro, Either of the de Jongs and hopefully getting rid of the crap thats clogging up the changing room doors!!

Re the bid for LD, all I know is, it was 11M + addons, but not sure how much the addons amounted to :)

Look at you desperate to discredit Mystery just because of your anti-Harry leanings :)

I imagine in any 20m bid we make, a substantial part of that would be 'add-ons' and Nelsen is presumably contracted to us until the end of May/June so for 'released' read 'contract not renewed'.

On the Harry stuff I don't think the 'Harry gone by Friday' ITK makes a lot of sense. Why would it be happening on Friday and not today (or in fact yesterday) if it was that certain?

The fact that POTL and JJ are quiet on Harry leaving suggests to me that it's all a bit of a hullaballoo which has blown up over twitter. Either way though I hope we get it sorted very soon one way or another.

As for the players, if we can get JJ and Bentley gone that would be a good start. Really need to clear the chaff as quickly as possible this window (although I don't think that'll be easy).

The FA have realised the error of their ways and are sacking Woy already?

Only going for two suggests that we are keeping JD as well. I can't imagine we'd go into the season with only 2 recognised forwards (again).

Good please no. At his age, surely he can't do yet another season on the bench either.

2 forwards is enough if we're committed to a form of 4-5-1 (which after the 4-4-2 hammerings we took in the spring should be an absolute). What would be good though would be having a wide player who can double up as a 3rd #9 (i.e. Remy).

Im not saying Harry wont go.

If he does, then it seems to me that it would be something he is forced into.

He says he wants to stay
