I think what JJ means is that the press are just guessing, so Blanc will be a guess based only on the fact he is out of contract. The press don't actually KNOW anything, but as always, never let that get in the way of a nice story eh.

Absloutely devastated. Was this close to putting a tenner on Blanc at 41-1 yesterdya morning. Decided to leave it until the evening, was in to 20-1. Now 14-1 4th favourite

The Moyes "interview" on MOTD at half time appeared rather impromptu (Lineker sounded quite awkward asking the questions), Moyes played the whole thing exceptionally well and I would imagine he is certainly on our list and he knows it.
The fact the interview/questioning appeared impromptu kind made the way Moyes dealt with it and came accorss rather impressive, managed to be very positive about Everton yet open to Tottenham at the same time without pissing anyone off!

Imagine that Blanc would want to wait a while before making any decisions. If France do well then there will be public clamour for his contract with the national team to be extended. If they crash out, we could look like an attractive escape route. Might be why there are lots of 'we're in no rush' vibes coming from the ITKs. Major tournaments have a habit of kick-starting the managerial merry-go-round.
Blanc said after the French win( first tournament win in 6 years) that if they didn't win again for 6 years that he would have long been sacked by then.... Doesn't sound like he has realised his contract is up already in a month? And sounds like he doesn't have plans to go
JJ if u are watching- are we likely to have someone in place by preseason training? Or at least before the USA tour??? Plus- how long would we wait for the right guy I mean a few weeks be ok but I think we need an appointment at latest by 1st August so new guy has 2 weeks b4 kickoff
