Having seen all the itk coming in as regards AVB i cannot believe how readily everyone is to accept the appointment of a manager who was an unmitagated disaster at one of our rival clubs.

For Daniel Levy to tell Harry he wants the club to go in a different direction, if we appoint AVB the only direction i can see us going is backward to mid-table obscurity again.

But before Chelski, the deathbed of all good managers in recent years, he had unmitigated successes at two clubs and a great learning curve under the best manager of the current era.

If we were in this position a year ago, everyone would have been w*nking themselves stupid at the thought of AVB being manager.

Chelsea was the wrong job at the wrong time. He isn't a bad coach.

I think that we possibly are no longer interested in Remy and De Jong because our new manager has his eyes on someone different.

Exactly. AVB is a disaster waiting to happen. I can't actually believe some spurs fans would be happy with his appointment. I am obviously in the minority on here but I think it's going to be a very bad move.

I wanted Harry out but to be honest if I knew he would be replaced by AVB I would probably of preferred Harry to stay. This is not what I has in mind

I just pray that we are all being led down the garden path and Levy pulls a rabbit out of the hat(please god Guardiola!!) .......

Who am I kidding of course it's going to be AVB. Massive sigh.

care to expand on it? I have my own reservations about him but I think he has a better chance of being a giant success than giant failure. What I think will most likely come of his appointment is for a couple years or so we'll be mediocre. But if Levy truly lets him carry out his "project" by maybe 2014 we could start getting back to CL places.

And open your eyes, we don't have CL. No matter who we appoint will be facing an uphil battle for 4th.

Seems to be the only real negative being voiced by those against AVB was that he lost the Chelski dressing room and got sacked. Which is all fine and dandy until you consider that Chelski have sacked Mourinho, Ancelotti, Scolari etc etc. Scolari lost the dressing room too and he won the World Cup. Which makes using it as a reason for not wanting AVB as naive, that job is a poisoned chalice. DiMatteo won the CL, Roman will fire him the moment the players have had enough or he doesn't win everything.

The Chelski dressing room is possibly the worst in all of football if they don't get their own way as the main core have the ear of Roman and so nobody will beat them in a power struggle. I have no doubt if DiMatteo stops playing Fat Frank or tries to change things up, he'll get canned as soon as the players moan to the Ruskie.

I have a theory on how Hew Jenkins knows about AVB. As Sigurdsson is technically a Swansea player till 30 June and he almost joined Swansea on a permanent deal until very recently they have obviously been speaking. And in the course of these discussions he mentioned that he had already spoken to/met AVB. Simples.

come on lads, Its only fair that Jay gets to share his own opinion. It might not be the same as others but i guess everyone is entitled to their own. Lets not berate him for it. Maybe we should club together and get him some anti depressants though. Dan's probably got a backlog somewhere not needed anymore that we could buy cheap.
