Whoosh.

I'm okay with (Icelandic?) durp de durp, but the chav 'no bovva' is slightly offensive.

Where's the tongue in cheek smilie when you need it?
Oh no, I realised you weren't being serious. The wankiness is entirely down to me. No need for smilies, I was just having one of my many senior moments.

Se,, I'm such a wanker, I caused you to needlessly type another post. I suck!

.

Football is all about the here and now.

You may have heard Peter Ridsdale and David O'Leary say that - the Leeds fans are not happy with them now

HR was much like that too - hence wanting to buy old but experienced premiership players (Parker, Freidel, Cudiucini, Saha Nelsen.....) rather than developing younger players

If you read anything about Levy, he is all about managing over the long term and improving in steps (including sometimes taking half a step back to go forward - eg sales of Carrick and then Berbatov). But we have gone forward.

Levy will continue to build for the long term - if that is not what you want, unlucky you are following the wronmg club !

Is Spurvert itk? I've seen him post like he is but not sure if it's been confirmed. If he is, then I like the fact there's no shitting around and that he's just come out with Falcao.

Alternatively, I can ask Spurvert himself. Spurvert, please read the above and change the bits like 'if he is' to 'if you are'.

I don't think I've seen any info of his (yours) in the RO thread. If he (you) hasn't (haven't) been confirmed, why is he (are you) posting like an itk? I get info and more often than not, it's dogshit, just really bad dogshit, hence why I never put stuff in here. Not popping, just that I've seen a few posts recently and they've confused me. Is the source validated? Apologies if it has been and I've missed it.

And akqa, can you not post your info in here? Saves me trawling through the phone (and I can't see it anyway). Ta.

Oh come on!!!

He was a disaster at Chelsea. You can't look at any positives from his time there.

They were well out of the title race, iirc 10+ points behind us even! The were on their way out of Europe after being beaten by Napoli 3-1.

Then Di Mateo with the same team won the fuckig thing and the Cup for good measure stuffing us 5-1 on the way. If AVB was in charge none of that would of happened. Surely you agree!

Ask any Chelsea fan and they will agree with me that he was
Fucking hopeless.

Don't disagree with a much you say - but you are ignoring the reasons why he was not a success at Chelsea.

He went in with a remit from Roman to change things, the dressing room didnt like it, rebelled by having tantrums and throwing their toys out the pram and ultimately Roman reneged on the deal. The power was in the dressing room not with the manager or boardroom.

Levy has shown previously where the ultimate power lies at WHL, which is with him and demonstrated in the Modric saga of last year.

IF he has chosen AVB to be the messiah at WHL then he will back him, not pander to the players. And I think that is one of the reasons we will offload Modric. Levy could use the same strong arm position as last year but he wants AVB to have full backing of players which he wouldn't get with rat face.

When AVB was appointed at Chelsea he looked the dogs bo***cks, and had the same swagger as Jose. Now he is slightly tainted goods, but he will have learnt from the experience.

Back the man and the club - stop being so negative from the outset

There was strong ITK that levy had sounded out Mourinho about who should replace Harry and that he recommended AVB, an endorsement from the greatest manager of the modern era if not of all time is good enough for me.

At Chelsea he had half the squad against him because he dared to drop the likes of Drogba and Lampard, he had a chairman who has fired more managers than Jesus Gil, he had a chairman that is heavily influenced by the old guard

The results were reasonable from AVB, not spectacular but a damn slight better than Fergie managed in his first season at Utd or Wenger managed in his first season at arsenal but both were given time

AVB will be a great manager for us, supportive chairman, players that aren't ****s, he will do fine
At Chelsea, it was worse than that. He was hired by a Chairman who gave him a brief to manage the transition from the old guard players and then did not support him when it came to the crunch - left him high and dry.

Is Spurvert itk?

Spurvert claimes to have a contact, but is unwilling to share so we are not able to say if he does or doesn't have information.

Because of this his information is not posted into the RO and he has been asked to only post information he gets into the Players threads only.

I think there are some big targets on the horizon

JJSet possibly indicated that today when asked about whether he liked many smaller birds or one big bird and his reply was one big bird.

Spurs have aimed high for top strikers for several TW's so not sure your info helps - until there is demonstrable ITK on actual targets coming in (not just being approached) which are realistic to get - anyone can say 'we have approached Falcao' or whatever. Sorry to sound negative - but nothing really new in your ITK
