Anyone think JJ's "not really" reply, when asked if Leandro's performances will attack the sharks, may mean that we're actually pretty close and pretty confident?

No, I think it means anyone who actually watched saw him really do fuck all for most of the game, scuff one of his two goals, and they were two of about 4 touches of the ball he had.

I don't think any major club watched that game and thought wow, he's fucking mustard, prepare the £40m bid immediately.

This is not good

I seriously can't think of any other striker within our price range that is as good as Ade.

Maybe not such a problem.
If recent itk suggests that the issues are from our side, maybe we're just stringing things along while we explore other possibilities?
Maybe things have changed somewhere else and we fancy a quick probe in that direction first?

As much as I want Ade, I'm open to all possibilities.

Come on BC, you really saying that he did fuck all?!
He's a striker, a proper striker, and he scored goals.
He was in the right place at the right time - as has been seen with JD, much as I love him, you can't reach positional instincts.
When they got the ball to him, he did what he should. Do want him there, doing that, or tackling back at the left back slot?

No so relieved to read this one however.

GazzehCOYS@GazzehCOYS how likely IS Ade to sign for us? Are we looking elsewhere?

The original JJetset@jetsetyid Up in the air and yes

could be alone on this one but this is what makes SC great .. sharing views :)

i would be happy if we dont get adebayor .. there i said it

IF it means bringing in Leandro Damiao (i would make him our 1st choice striker) and seeing JJ revealing we are looking at other alternatives then ade then im all for it.

dont get me wrong adebayor played a big part last season with his goals and assists and had some great games (newcastle in mind). But after watching him play with a very close eye he has flaws in his game where i feel leandro damiao in the areas ade fails will execute with aplomb. its weird because looking at the stats of adebayor (something of 15 goals 10 assists) he had me pulling my hair out more instead of combing it like john travolta in grease !!

if we end up concluding a deal with ade then i will be fine with it because after all he is a big character with qualities and was popular with the players. I just feel he aint worth the hassle thats been going on all this time.

Obviously Leandro has not got any premierleague experience but his talent is all there to see to become a massive hit.

Exactly. How many more goals would we have had the last couple of seasons simply by having a striker "in the right place at the right time?" Bale, Siggy, Rafa, Lennon, Modric(?) would be battling for the league lead in assists with a striker with that skill.
