to be fair if I was AVB and gave Levy a list of target and he came back with me saying not getting any of them but you can have Remy I'd be throwing my toys out the pram, manager has a right to pick the players that fits his system, wouldn't be surprised if he walked before long if this turns out to be true.

Whilst AVB has a superior knowledge on footballing ability, Levy has a superior knowlege on the financial affairs of or club, which is ultimately the defining factor in any transfer. Providing VDV stays, I still think we have a very good squad, I`d love to have more quality and in particular another striker, but we are were we are...

It's not that he's never wrong it;s that there was no context and JJ understands the sensitivity of SC and Spurs fans as a whole right now. Fortunately he's added a bit of meat to it all but still not happy with the original statement. There are subtler ways of saying it.

Oh DO calm down. We have signed 4 excellent players and we are trying for more. before you all over react just wait till 11pm tomorrow and even then I think you'll still complain.

Firstly, we have no insight into the context of AVB 'throwing his toys out the pram'

And secondly, why are you all acting surprised that we haven't secured the mooted signings that we've been 'linked' to?

This happens every window. Get use to it.

not disputing that mate, and quite frankly wasnt to keen on some of the players Harry wanted, but DL certainly didnt loosen the purse strings for him thats for sure.......and the aguero, rossi etc ssn stunt was embarrasing last hours of TW, yet we are here again with a new manager, 1 month in still trying to do buisness, dont see other clubs having the same strategy as us!

i for one will avoid jumping from the bridge after hearing this news. 'falling out' is a loaded phrase. and it's gets used without much thought put into what it actually means. keep in mind, this is a highly stressful time of the year for those running the club. we are set up like this to indeed save millions -- which in turn allows us to offer better wages than we might have been able to. i'd guess that nerves are frayed at the upper eschleons of our beloved club, and with that comes the odd disagreement or three. but tomorrow is a new day, and shit will settle down. just because they have an argument does not mean they're gonna go all Hatfield and McCoy on each other's asses.
