To me it is quite obvious that AVB is upset because he has not getting the signings or even one signing on the top of his list.

Look at everyone we have signed to date and it wreaks of Levy having his hands all over it:

Verts - strong links even prior to new manager. Would have signed regardless if AVB was here or not.
Sigs - if you believe JJ, this was done 3 weeks prior to it actually being announced, so it was before AVB was even headman.
Dembele - again, going off JJ tweets a few days before this signing, he always insisted that AVB was not a huge fan.

I'm guessing today put AVB over the edge when he heard Daniel was trying to sign Remy, another player that he would not have preferred to target. He said F' it and decided to run his mouth at the press conference about him having no interest in Remy, which I'm assuming probably jeopardized the player ever coming here. Maybe that is why POTL said HVB earlier, because it is something straight out of Harry's book to pull that power play on the chairman. I think in AVB's mind, we are signing all these players he would not prefer where he probably thinks that money could be spent on Mouts.

With that said, I love the bit of business we have done so far this summer and we have gotten great value on every signing to date and they are all quality.

I know this is difficult for some people to grasp, but WE CANT AFFORD MOUTINHO at the price Porto want ergo AVB should wind his neck in and if he doesn`t want any of the players Levy offers up then so be it.

So we could still potentially sign Moutinho, Lloris and a striker (Remy) tomorrow or we could end up with no one (or worst still, Heskey). I'd love to be sensible enough to say I wish we did all our business early in the window but part of supporting our club in the Levy era is an absolutely nuts deadline day, so might as well brace ourselves for the madness and enjoy it.
