since avb has been our manager i find us quite boring to watch, maybe its because mod and vdv have left? i don't know but we are fixing dull
We also take too many touches now than we did before, so our games can be quite laboured in that respect. I'd like to see more one/two touch come back to our game.

I didn't watch the match so I'm only going on this thread for my info, but I was really hoping for a regulation, comfortable 2-0 win tonight. We needed one after the nervy weekend. Why oh why do we do this to ourselves??? This kind of defeat is exactly why I thought AvB was brought in to eradicate. C'mon AvB, you have our support, but please do something.

The most worrying thing is that once again our frailty during the final 10 minutes of games has been exposed. It is a trend that has been evident since the first game of the season and still it shows no sign of dissipating.

It is bar none my biggest concern regarding this AVB led Spurs team. We will not achieve our prime objectives this season if the problem persists.
Well if you spend the last 10 mins letting the other team attack you while you defend for your life you're more than likely either going to concede or be under the kosh, its a tactic that AVB seems to like but one I can't fucking stand

after over 10 games in the shirt, i now worry about sigurdsson and dempsey.

They are looking like really bad buys:cry: Not even seeing hints of quality, but alas there is still plenty of footy to come and time for them to impress.

on the positive our boy hugo looked good

Chelsea now winning. What a gloriously sickening round of cup games this is turning out to be. Wigan even cost me winnings of over £500 with their fuck up last night. Wankers.

This should ramp the pressure up on AVB again a bit and I'd welcome that. I'm not calling for his sacking, but I'd like to see plenty of pressure on him to be much more daring and much more attacking. We're incredibly boring to watch at the moment, and it stems from the tentative and cautious approach of the manager. He's fundamentally negative for a majority of games with his selection and subs. Despite our 4th place in the league, we look unconvincing in victory, worse than unconvincing in defeat, with little happening up front and almost no creativity. We don't have to always play with two holding midfielders and one striker - or no strikers!

AVB is the one who rattles on about taking competitions seriously and winning trophies, but he's absolutely boring the pants off us in the League Cup and the Europa this season and the league position is much more flattering than the performances.

Different day, same shit. Take the lead, then try and defend the 6 yard box. Yes it's only the League cup, but I'm absolutely gutted.

I have to agree. I've been 100% behind the AVB revolution But to watch us surrender the initiative every time we're controlling a game and get in front is becoming a a recurring pattern that most Spurs fans won't swallow. If that is his philosophy...Get in front and then defend the 1-0 lead...He can Quite Frankly go take a running jump and F@ck right off out of the Lane...If ever there was a club to whom that philosophy does NOT belong to...it is us. BNIck would be turning and some...

We also take too many touches now than we did before, so our games can be quite laboured in that respect. I'd like to see more one/two touch come back to our game.

That comes with lack of confidence (or when crowd is on players backs)

You take your two most creative players out of the team, who were pretty much solely responsible for your style of play and guess what... Your style of play suffers.

Sorry to keep saying it but with the loss of Modric, VDV should NEVER have been sold without his replacement being sorted. We''ve simply lost too much quality in the middle at once. Dembele is fine but after that we have nothing in the middle. Striker this and striker that. We had Berbatov at the peak of his powers and came up short. The midfield is, and always has been, where you win games.

On a slightly different note, did anyone see Sturridge's celebration? LOL I'm sure he's a hoot on the dancefloor

Were starting to look vulnerable on set pieces this year. I don't know if it's because we drop into that defensive mindset when were winning and we get panicky and no one takes command or just were not organised.

Now this one I can explain quite easily, we can't defend set pieces because we can't practise defending them as we don't have a player capable of taking a corner for the defenders to have to deal with in training, 3 different people had at least one go 2nd half, they either didnt beat the first man or the ball didnt even land on the pitch, how the fuck can you not take a corner?? my 11year old lad can take a better corner, it isn't fucking hard !! (but seems like ever since we have been any good at set plays).

Boring, boring football, we close shop ten minutes to go and we lose 2-1 against a depleted Norwich side. The sooner AVB goes, the better.

Gutted about the loss, but there were positives.

Thought Lloris was fantastic and his pro-active style of keeping impressed me very much. AVB has to start him in the future.

Carroll was great. Vision, good passing, keeps the ball well. Could see midfield of Dembele, Sandro and Carroll.

Falque was probably our best player bar Bale. Was really impressed with him.

And finally Bale. Amazing performance, too bad we didn't have a proper striker up front.

In the end we were unlucky not to get a win.

Why do Tottenham have to try to win every game by 1 goal. Surely it would be better to go for more rather than defend. Drives me f%%&#ng crazy
