these quotes look a little weird the way they've been reported, but looks like AVB is ruling Dembele out:

http://www.london24.com/sport/arsen...es_are_high_for_first_arsenal_derby_1_1693040

I'm genuinely worried that if we don't get some of these players back soon (particularly Dembele) we're going to be in a lot of trouble. Results are already going against us, the pressure on AVB is just going to mount and I can see the whole thing snow balling. it's f*cking depressing. Nothing that a win against the goons won't fix, but with the like of Thudd and Dempsey watching the game pass them by, I just can't see it.

Yeah its looking pretty gloomy at the moment. Dembele and Sandro starting on Saturday would of given me immense confidence, but without that pairing we'll be beat by a pretty mediocre Arsenal side I'm afraid.

I'm really starting to get pissed off with the Dembele situation, not him obviously, but how we are so fucking hamstrung without him is criminal.

loris/friedel

naughton caulker verts

sandro

lennon carroll bale

ade

defoe

if we can't decide between loris or friedel,, ,,,,,, lets play both and see who makes the most saves,,,,,problem solved

Going with only ten players from the start! Thats a bold move.

"I don't think we'll see any difference for the Arsenal game"

If that is the same personnel or the same level of performance - either way is bad news.

He may mean system, again I'm not sure what he means because of the way its reported - either badly, or they're being sneaky just trying to slant the information a certain way for impact.

So Sandro was an unused sub last night, good he didn't play but all that distance for nothing with the game we have at the weekend o_O

I read it more as in we won't see any difference in Parker and Dembele returning to play.

Adebayor playing behind Defoe?
Or Sigurdsson playing behind Adebayor with Defoe an impact sub?

I want AVB to pick a team which plays to the strengths of the players he has available to him. I know he won't though. First time in years that I may not have the stomach, or heart to watch a NLD, I'll wait until I see the line-up, but if he continues down his current path I might have to send the club a letter telling them I resign...

oh ffs...Dembele rated as 50/50 for the Lazio game now - when does it end. I bet he misses the West Ham and Liverpool games as well.

No news on Ekotto either, we were told he was about two weeks away four weeks ago.

Depressing how shit this season is getting.

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8249412/?

And to compound all this, he'll pick the wrong side again and apply the same negative tactics....I know he needs time but if he keeps making the same peculiar decisions its going to really test my patience.

Felt good having a moan, been biting my tongue for weeks - that's better though :)

Anyway, now hoping for:

Lloris

Walker/Naughton
Gallas
Caulker
Vertonghen

Sandro
Carroll

Lennon
Sigurdsson
Bale

Adebayor

If Dempsey starts this there is something fundamentally wrong with AVB's thinking. He needs to stop fucking about with some of these perplexing (euphemistically speaking here) decisions - they're getting old now. Play the better keeper ffs (my last moan!)

Not a lot of width in that line up.

The one who has scored most of our goals this season up top please.
Ade in behind so he can drift out wide as well.

Dont think testing Sigy out behind Ade who is still getting his fitness back is a great idea against Arsenal.
Its one we can try out in a diffrent game

you do realise we've been playing 4-2-3-1 recently? and, are you aware that Arsenal play though the middle generally speaking? - going 4-4-2 against them in particular is fucking suicide.

Assuming the injury reports on the England trio are correct, I'd like to see:

Lloris
Naughton Gallas Caulker Vertonghen
Falque Sandro Dembele Bale
Sigurdsson
Adebayor

Though if, on the off chance, Benny is fit again, I'd put him out left and replace a possibly tired Caulker with Vertonghen.

If anyone is looking tired at the moment it is Vertonghen not Caulker.

All I can say is if we play Dempsey we lose; simple as that. Need Sigurdsson in there as he will become a third CM and press Arteta high.

We'll still lose (no Mousa) but going 4-4-2 is retarded.
