Well that's that then. Hope Sandro isn't out too long. Nice to see Parker is quickly back to his best. I know AVB isn't prone to outbursts but he needs to tell some of the players to stop being such fucking cowards in the dressing room. Alright, we weren't at our best today but Jesus, at least have a go. The worst thing is you make a tit of yourself. Such a lack of gumption out there. Where is world class Bale on these occasions.

Oh yeah...he plays on the left. Thought we'd seen the last of that guff.

We didn't lose but eh. Hope we can sort out a deal for Holtby at least in this window. We're still short in the middle and up front, whether Ade is sold or not, we're simply too blunt. Nothing fatal but it'll be much harder to get top 4 without improvements in those two areas.

Ade was a disgrace.

Daws needs to drop his ego and realise that he is not a 'ball playing' CB. His distribution is embarrasing.

Walker and Naughton looked poor when on the ball.

Dembele's probably worst game for us

Parker looked like he had some desire and purpose.

All in all, there was probably only Parker and Verts who got even close to giving a reasonable account of themselves.

Whatever happens though, we need a replacement for Ade.

For the stat lovers out there:

OPTA
Possession 62% - 38%
Goal attempts: 18 - 4
On target: 10 - 1
Pass success: 86% - 69%
Tackle success: 76% - 70%

BBC
Possession: 60% - 40%
Shots: 16 - 4
On target: 8 - 1

So, did OPTA imagine 2 additional shots or did BBC miss them? :)

AVB OUT!!!!!!!!!

Just kidding.

Fair play to QPR. One of the poorest games of the season, but we couldnt get the goal. If Ade scores in the first 5 mins probably a different game and different result.

I suppose it rubbishes the talk that Redknapp dont do tactics. Can already hear the post match, "well you know John, Tottenham are a great team, you know, we just fort if we could keep it tight, then maybe in the last 10 nick a goal. But i fort the lads were triffic today, didnt give 'em an inch. You know, If we play like that for the rest of the season we have a chance"

Parker = total awesomeness today
Dembele = meh, out muscled by mbia. why wasnt the latter booked for simulation at the end there - that was ridiculous.

Cant win them all, and we didnt lose i guess. Roll on ManYoo

Parker was mom for me! Ade was awful and Demblee was poor! It showed how we badly need a player who can do something different!

Qpr played for a point and got it. But we didn't seem to have a clue how to break them down.

Win, lose, or draw there is still a long way to go and our season certainly won't be decided on this game.

True, although if we miss out on CL by a point I probably will look back at certain games and think 'yep, that's where it went wrong!'

It was actually a very accomplished defensive performance by qpr and they deserved something from the game. We need a hot shot striker and a creative mid because other poor teams will set-up to defend against us for 90mins.

Why was Parker so good?

Don't get me wrong he was ok, but contributed nothing to our play going forward, and was barely even looking for the ball, which for a CM is a minimum requirement. That's one of our problems too many 'i've done my job' merchants who simply pass it and then watch the game.

No one wanted the ball and when they did they either dwelt on it or passed it to the first person they saw. Anyone who thinks we would not be better off with Moutinho is seriously deluded.

And please tell me that wasn't Spurs fans singing "you don't know what your doing" when Ade was replaced with Dempsey...:(

Poor game. As I said at half time we were just flicking, poking and prodding the ball instead of making firm passes when we got into the attacking areas, and that was never going to cut it. All those flicks are great when they come off, but there's a time and a place, and today on a bumpy pitch was neither.

Have to credit Harry and QPR for the way they seem to have learned from their Liverpool debacle, they approached the games both against Chelsea and us in the best possible way for them to get a point or more. Frustrating for us, but today was more about us simply not being good enough going forward.

Again like the last 3 seasons ours strikers will cost us, levy watches every game surely he must be fed up of our strikers, if we don't buy we don't finish top 4, get the cheque book out and sign a few to cement our top 3 place plzzzz

Disappointed to not get 3 points but it's 1 more than we got there last season. Couldn't find a way throug and unfortunately Defoe/Ade once again struggled to make any impression on the game.

We really need to push for a spark to come in. Negrado, Sneigjder, Willian - someone who offers something different.

Frustrating that we now go into the next run of games with just Defoe. Utd will come to us with Rooney, RVP, Hernandez and Welbeck. We need strength up front and now to be relying on Dempsey who is not a STRIKER!

QPR played well, sat deep and defended well as a team. We still wern't good enough with the ball though considering the amount of possession we had. Our passing and movement was extremely poor, now that's partly down to QPR but it was also down to us not being good enough with the ball today when we had opportunities to break them down. The final run/movement wasn't there IMO, hence there wasn't enough killer balls on.

7 on target, 16 off, is still a good amount of attempts away from home though - but nevertheless we really do lack a ruthless streak when we should be punishing teams. Not enough clear cut chances.

Usual thing. Teams only lose to us if they try attacking as everyone knows how to shut us out. Without any real midfield creativity and or a world class striker we will continue to struggle against this sort of approach against us

Creativity means nothing when there is no space at all. In such a tiny pitch there best option is to stay strong on the ball even in their penalty box, instead of trying to use speed. A few times we were in good areas on the pitch but should just have use body strength instead if trying to out pace the defender

Maybe this'll be a kick in the arse for Levy.

Te old dog ain't learnt before so why will this window be any different? Our January business ( or lack of it ) effed us up in the past two seasons. What's the betting this becomes third in a row?
