Sorry, but that was a terrible decision and I would argue it's not great for us.

People have to stop being so short-sighted. Just because Man U would've been playing CL doesn't mean they were going to let Arsenal and Chelsea off. Their squad depth is incredible. Their second team would school Arsenal.

As it stands the scum are sure to be eliminated leaving us with no teams in the CL. It may not affect us presently, but that does not mean this year will be irrelevant. Juventus and Milan are certainly through and because every other country except ours gives a shit about Europa that also counts for the coefficient.

Let's not be arrogant just because we're on the up and will get CL next year. Man Shitty and Chavski have the money to keep buying and we have to be able to compete year in, year out. With the upcoming stadium, it's not like we're going to be rolling in the cash either to compete on that front, not that we have been, but it could make things tighter still. If Arsenal get bought out or Liverpool then they're back in it as well. Plus, let's be honest here, City are still terrible in Europe. They're probably going to keep going out for the foreseeable future whereas look at Dortmund's rebound. Their foundations are not strong but they're still too good for most of the rest of our league.

We need those four places forever as it gives us room to manoeuvre. Take last year when the Chavs took our spot. Imagine if we were down to three and that happened. We'd need to finish second, of course, I hope we can challenge for the title in the future.

But that's not what people here think. Too much concern on fourth as a "cup". And we laugh at Wenger. Get rid of the small town mentality and look at the big picture.

jeez. Anyone got any valium?

Its black. All black. everything is black.

i think it was a red purely on the decision that I THOUGHT he kicked out as he was coming back down... Nothing to really do with the clash at the start but as he was coming back down his leg kicked into the chest of Arbeloa

It can't be a red.

So when nobody is around you, and you lift your leg up for a high ball should the ref stop play and send you off?

Nani was looking at the ball. Arbeloa just runs into him from behind. Smart play on his part but ridiculous decision from the ref.

Or let's just play the "if it was Spurs how would you feel?" game since then we'll get clarity that otherwise goes missing.

So Gareth Bale was seen at the game.

Cue dramatic headlines in the morning of Bale going to United for £100million shocker behind Levy's back whilst fucking AVB in the ass, rather than he just attended a game.

Still, slightly worrying though. Utd can't afford him, but wouldn't surprise me if the Madrid BIGWIGS weren't whispering sweet nothings in his lovely Baley ears.

I don't think it's clear cut but her are the factors which makes me accept why the ref decided to give the red (notice it's not a complete admission).

1) Foot high studs up, into chest
2) Pushes out slightly rather than retracting his foot when he sees the player
3) Rolls on floor pretending to be injured - almost an admission of guilt
4) Granted he had eyes on the ball but refs can't be expected to look at his eyes, head, shoulders, feet, knees, sweat bands, and toes
5) Players should be more aware that lifting their foot increases the chances of danger and therefore should be extra vigilant and generally look around their surroundings before raising a leg aimlessly - unless of course they don't care
5) II Players shouldn't live in a bubble where all they see is the ball.
6) Nani & Fergie are tossers and it's about time the roles were reversed*

*This hasn't got any bearing on my true opinion, even though I think they got what was deserved REAL REAL

RM looked very uninspired 11 vs. 11. I think Muareen was being very honest. He usually is when it benefits him. Slag the RM players off in public by using a simple statement of fact. Effective.

Bout time those wankers had a dodgy decision go against them in a big game. The rest of us have suffered at united's (refs) hands for years. Chuffed they're gone. What a goal from modric too.

He's playing devils advocate. He'd be angrily espousing the opposite opinion if Southgate or Dixon were adamant it was red. Great TV.

This. I always get the impression with Keane as a pundit that he always wants to disagree with the other pundits.

As long as he doesn't think he's replacing Giggs at United!!!

The one Club I couldn't stand to see Bale end up at...would be United - be it next year or whenever, couldn't stand it.

For me, dangerous play in this incident means above the shoulder. If you get kicked in the ribs is that really "dangerous"?

I accept by the letter of the law it probably is but I think you should just man the fuck up. Fair do's if you get a boot in the head, as concussion and things like that come into play other than that I think, in an incident like the nani one, that anything below the shoulder should be a yellow.

Anyway who cares. Good result for us yids and that's all that matters.

Btw, misfit. Good work on the Scott tennerman/SP pic. I would love to bottle some Manc tears. Would make a killing in liverpool. :)

Agreed. He's very argumentative IMO. At first I liked his no nonsense approach, not sitting on the fence etc...now I think he's disagreeing for disagreeing sake a lot of the time, or the manner he seems to force his opinion over doesn't quite sit right.

Exactly mate - how many times have they profited from contentious decisions in the past. Fuck its not short off every fortnight :)
