For a latter stage CL game both teams really have been quite sloppy with the ball, and Ancelotti looks like Commissioner Dreyfus tonight, which made me chuckle..

Im with Fergie on this one. I despise pro leagues that enforce complete subservience to protect the brand. we see it here in the States all the time. the ref fucked up. just say so.

Fergie is acting like a petulant child because he didn't get things the way he wanted. The decision may well of been harsh, but it wasn't as such incorrect. It was dangerous play and warranted a booking, some will give yellow and some red depending on how they read the intent and the situation.
Fergie has press obligations and should meet them.
I agree that refs should also be interviewed and given a chance to explain themselves, but doesn't mean Fergie can do what he likes, though he tries very hard. The man seems likeable in most non-match interviews, but by god he is one piece of work after a match.
Oh and UEFA are fully within their rights to fine Man UTD for such poor sporting behaviour.

Surley if a studs up or a two footed challenge is deemed reckless enough for a red, then nanis was? Cosistancy is always wanted but then people also want different strokes for different folks. Blanket rule or inconsistant 'case by case' people, you cant have both.
