Well the journo said we've had enquiries for so Dawson so I'd guess if we get the right offer and can get a new one for the right price we'd deal

This was mentioned the other day though. We had offers for Dawson last year, but he plain doesn't want to leave, even when he was told he wasn't needed and would be 5th choice he wanted to stay.

We might have offers but we will not sell Dawson, Townsend, Defoe or Siguardsson.

Agree, Siggy did enough in2nd half of season to deserve a chance. I would however think that if a decent offer for Defoe came in and we had secured or could secure 2 new forwards they might let consider selling JD.

I hope we do listen for offers for Dawson and Defoe

Why Dawson? If he is happy to be 3rd choice then why not keep him. You would struggle to find many better 3rd choice centre backs and the guy bleeds Tottenham. He is the sort of guy you want around your young players.

He's also blatantly not better than Soldado, not at all.

In this game of top trumps the pair of them piss all over Damiao though to be honest, in fact so does Villa save for his age.

All three are top players though so if we don't end up with at least one Spanish striker next season I'll be disappointed! Can't see us getting Villa ahead of the scum so Soldado is our best bet.

Yet Leandro has been the top of AVB's lit at both Chelsea and us.

Hopefully the Sporting player we are after is Fokobo who played against us in the nextgen. He's an absolute beast in the midfield, he scored the best goal I've ever seen scored against us.

Also there is a real question mark over Kaboul's ability to recover from his injury and get back to the sort of form he was showing. Anyone who wants to sell Dawson is being very short sighted. Fortunately I think AVB realises the importance of players like him.

So are we not going for leandro then!?
He just meant the young Brazilian he was posting about wasn't Damiao it was additional.
I also suspect Andre recognises the need for a Dawson in the dressing room even if he doesn't see him as a number one choice.

They seem to have a young goalkeeper called Hugo Ventura (Pet Detective) and a player called Pedro Mendes (not that one).

Either would be fine by me. No, of course I've never seen either but who wants to get bogged down in the idea of talent or quality?

Siggy ain't going anywhere, nor Townsend & I think striker wise it'll probably be Ade to go though I'd far prefer to ship on Defoe. Although he's probably more acclimatised to bench warming & league cup games.

Re: strikers, it's really not adding up. Damaio can be presumed one they all want, yet we have offers for Villa? And genuine interest in Soldado? We can't pursue everyone... Bit quiet on midfielders?

Guess it's a lot a talk & not much concrete at the minute.

Agree, it could take Kaboul 6 months to really get back to top form, and thats providing he has no injury set backs. We'd be mad to sell Dawson at this time.

Plus there is a homegrown condition we have to meet. Selling dawson, defoe and townsend in one window... Errr not sure that's wise.

I dont remember how many players we have who qualify, but losing 3 english players on top of possible others (danny rose maybe?) doesnt sound like something we can afford unless we are replacing them with others.

The youth policy seems like the best thing we could do though and whilst its frustrating to us to not have a bunch kf first teamers coming in, some of these youth prospects could leave us with a beast of a team in a few years time.

Dont forget Manchester United's success late 90's was due to a whole youth team maturing together.

As for Soldado, quality player. Assuming we dont want Villa you woukd have to be happy with that signing. Not seen any ITK om Negredo this window so far, so cant speculate.

Like I have said before, Defoe will have a list of suitors willing to match our valuation, whereas Ade's opportunities will be far more limited due to the clubs he will be willing to move to and the wage demands he will have. Also by the end of last season AVB was picking Ade over Defoe so I think it will be Defoe who leaves.

I'm thinking Bruma, a real talent, or possibly Eric Drier.

I think it is presumptive even to assume Kaboul will ever regain the form he was showing before his injuries last season. Of course I hope I am wrong but we will have to be very patient with him.
